LADS - The sledging and taunts in here have been going for too long now.
Other moderators have given warnings about this not long ago on this very thread.
Back to DIV 3 footy talk now please otherwise users who enjoy this site for this very purpose will be disappointed.

no way burglar.......you wish. it sounds like ep are gonna have so many players they may field a d gr again and lindsay will make a comeback..... ep almost unbackable with all the guys this forum says they have picked up...but time will tell.. any team that tends to say their going so well tend to do sooo bad...history will tell u this.

Don't see how Eastern Park would be almost unbackable? They have only picked up two new recruits to the club however a few past players have returned most notably Shaun Gatto who will be very handy indeed. EP will be top four though I would say.

You have to go through a door to get to the gym anyway which prevents access much like a fence. I think Uniting Care or some such group was meant to organise for groups of the refugees to use the gym. Unfortuneately you can't just have everyone using it willy nilly because of insurance etc.

Why did your club ask for a grant????
Because they knew they could win the council over with some bullsh!t story that would help the African community, Knowing dam'n well it was only used to benefit there foofball club.
SHAME-SHAME

Actually the majority of people who use it aren't from the football club.

would be a massive lost for eastern park if he signed for salisbury. Will he take some mates with him if he goes, most notably mick ashby and pete graham. A player who could do anything on his day. Does he still play in darwin in the off season?

broke his arm in 06 i think then came back to play for Parks in 07.
Dobbie is very, very quick and skillful but he didnt have an impact at all last year, i think his arm is still no good. everytime he went for the ball he was a little hesitant and thats not the Doobie we know. Would be a shame if he left Parks.

If he took Ashby with him he would be doing Eastern Park a favour. He is a great footballer but way too tempermental- you wont win flags if you have too many Ashby types in your side...

Ashby is young and is still learning how to most appropriately express himself on the field...Is all class and will only get better. very passionate just comes off harsh sometimes. think that will change as he matures.

He'd have to be 24 or 25 by now wouldn't he? If he hasn't matured as a footballer by now, probably never will.

I agree that he is all class when his mind is on it (I reckon he had 15 touches in a quarter against Igs last year) but if anyone gets into him verbally or physically he loses the plot (from what I have seen of him).

there a few blokes having a kick in the SAAFL that could have played league...............Mick Ashby was no doubt one of them.
kicked 35 goals last year playing centre and dished out a few as well, turns on a 5 cent coin and is good either side but from the neck up a bit loose but very good footballer.
He was or should i say is the sort of footballer that drags 2 or 3 opponents to him, got a bit of class about him young Mick.

No think he is 23. Some blokes take that bit of extra time to learn a bit of diplomacy I reckon. I think he will come good, maybe by taking on a minor leadership role........

I'll take your word for it, but he was in the 19's at Centrals in 2001 and I don't think he was playing up a level which would have made him 18 or 19 at that time. I hope you are right about him maturing, could be anything if he does.

Doobie played for Parks last year and he didnt do any running around on the track for them either...............so he could be there.
