Yep, super win for us today up at the Hope Valley mud hole. It was great to get a win especially against a top 5 side given we have been competitive and showed some good signs in our last 2 homes games against some better sides in BL and Plympton. It was our first away win since round 16 2008, thats 17 matches ago.

We led for the whole game with the margin getting out to no more than 5 goals during the 2nd quarter. HV threw everything at us in the second half and to our credit we stood up and played 4 quarter of tough hard footy, which was excellent. We had no passengers which was also a massive positive for us.

A win for us today and Blackfriars losing to BL means we are off the bottom. Yeah Boy!!! \:D/ :-bd

HV guys what happened to Duggan in the second half? Did he get injured? He started well, playing as a sweeper across half back and creating most of your play through the middle and ball going into the forward line then just seemed to disappear after half time.

And number 19, Shane Gepp (think thats right) who finished with 7 goals, goes alright. He looks like he's about 50 years old but is very good player. Don't remember him playing for you guys earlier in the year.

Bad luck to the B grade going down by 3 goals. IMHO I don't think they will playing finals. Their form is no where near as good as it was earlier in the year.

Next week wh face Arch rivals Rosewater in another massive game for our football club, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1985 A and B grade premierships. It's going to be a big day.

however it was a great d5r game. tight all game

Not as much as he should have (IMO)

What happened is that North Haven played better than us. Hope that clears things up for you Kookas ;)

kookas, no charlie didnt go off,all that does is give him a headache. havens played well and we must have thought eagles was playing for us as we kicked to him all day :? .missed 5 set shots from less than 30 in 2nd qtr and it came back to burn us. look forward to next week now, whats done today is done but losing duggy is a big blow to us. the footy god has certainly been cruel to us with big injuries to some of our leading players, but we still have our destiny in our own hands which is good. just spoke to duggy and he will be having an operation monday morning to plate and screw his arm :(

Yes very dissapointing result for our A grade. As TT said we did not make the most of our chances when we had them. Spewin about Hacksaw Lee Duggan but he'll be back.

Great win for the Magoos! Behind at every change but kept at it and played a great last quarter. Heard a whisper before the game that 3 NH players had been out on the piss all night. Dont take too much notice of that but I rekon a couple of the guys mentioned really died in the ass in the last quarter! HMMMM.
We are a drinking team with a football problem!

Happens every week Bartman, so it's nothing new. Guys have the chance to prepare themselves in the right manner and chose not to. It can then cost the team dearly, especially in a close game where every ounce of effort is needed.

That particular man was very disappointed last night. I didn't see the incident, but a tough loss for the 2's.
Big Miegs on fire once again. Was an old fashioned shoot-out! VanderHaak with 8 at the other end... that blokes a freak!!!
Brilliant hands and kick.
Good to sing the song again, not for the last time this year I reckon.

I'm not happy with "lutherans too good" thats a cop out, their ladder position suggests that they shoudnt have been "too good". From all reports Plympton were absolute junk. I'm glad i didnt hang around to watch it.

Mate, I think most people would agree we are a pretty handy 8th placed side.
We lost to you guys by 3 pts earlier in the year... so the 2 games we've had would suggest there's not a lot between the two sides.
Had we had some luck in some close games and played 4 quarters more often, like we did yesterday, we've got the talent to be in the 5.
Hasn't happened, so we sit where we sit. But Plympton aren't that much better than us!

jesus jabber... what i meant was we were very average, we played poorly.... no cop out... they played better on the day, simple as that... if you watch AFL you do see bottom sides beat sides up the ladder (not taking a shot at AL, just going on ladder position)...
not making excuses for plympton one bit... i reckon we won maybe a half a dozen positions if that, vanders was excellent, hibberd was good and our ruck won and a couple of on ballers... but thats not good enough, need more contributers...

however life goes on and we move forward and look forward to a massive game next week vs Brahma Lodge...

Add a couple more years on! :) At least age doesn't stop from kicking the ball straight through the 2 white sticks, maybe other players need copy his style.

Noticed this game report on the North Haven v the Obamas on the SAAFL website

"nathan giles is a gun player and forest and all of them they played well but brahma lodge are ferreal"

You would think the league would moderate comments?

Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.
