Oh geez, a person associated with a club thinks their team is more of a team than the team they are not associated with...

Stop the presses.

Congratulations to the reserves on their undefeated year and 37 point win. Commiserations to the A grade after a gutsy effort. We're hurtin' for ya boys...

hope valley looked out of it with about 10mins left. 3 goals down n WOS had most the play. i didnt give them a chance and then they scored 3 goals in about 6mins. made for a very intense last few mins. wos scored with a couple of mins left from a counter. bloke who scored was 15ms away from goal and didnt have a man. played on after his mark and scored. would have thought he would have went back and wasted some time and imagine if the siren went when he played on  bad luck to HV

well done to HV in Bs. heccies gave a gd fight . 1 goal down or something at 3 quarter time. umpires must have got trained at a netball academy. very touchy all day to both teams and sent off a heccies lad for something that deserved a 50m penalty from what i heard.

Heccies made a game of it in the Bs, was a pretty good game watch. Didn't seem very intense from the sideline, probably because it was so windy it meant you couldn't hear the talk on the field. Valleys kicked away in the last, so the scoreboard didn't tell the whole story, but they won a very deserved premiership in a undefeated year.

In the As, it was certainly a game of four quarters (not unlike any other football game that has been played, ever). What I mean is, the wind played a massive part each quarter in who gained the ascendancy. WOS kicked 4 in the first IIRC, Valleys responded with 7 in the second (including some fairly freakish ones from long range). HV kicked the first goal of the third (into the breeze) to open up a four-goal lead, but from there it was all WOS who missed some fairly close shots to record 6.11 for the quarter. The wind was wreaking havoc.

Best on ground and matchwinning goal was kicked by a 17-year old lad from the country who wandered into WOS training mid-season. Pretty solid effort!
