Does this mean that Heccies can beat goodwood saints D1R side or SHOCS... it's almost to easy... hahaha.. just wondering if B Lodge are going to put dirt on there cricket pitch next year?????

It's irrelevant anyway, its like saying centrals could beat the melbourne football team, doesnt matter what people's opinions are, there will be arguments on both sides. As for the cricket pitch joke, grow up a little bit hey? of course it will be covered and safe, if you have a problem playing on it next year, then just not play.

The other option would of course be to bring up your problems with the Salisbury council who is actually responsible for the Brahma Lodge Oval if you have a problem next year?

also not the whole of Brahma lodge said we could beat a div1R team, only a few individuals who thought they could compare the two leagues through their own observations.

So what's the go for Brahma next year? Are the sponsors staying on board again?
Heard it was Payneys last game and was also speaking to Brett Aldridge after the game and he said it was his last for Brahma also- probably BL's two most influential players for the year I would have thought.

On a lighter note would just like to thank everyone who supported Heccies on Saturday. It felt like everyone bar the BL supporters were cheering us on, which helped greatly! Think we had the Heccies, Paralowie, CLG and EP boys all barracking for us.

WOS seemed to do ok! And going by the names in the paper each week, they had a pretty similar side to 2008.

So now that the regular season + Finals are done and dusted, is it time to start having a crack at teams of the year?

Our lack of recruits this year probably cost us in terms of being able to play finals. I think brahma and heccies will do well next year. The step up isnt massive, you just dont get easy wins (apart from IF this year) and your use of the footy is that bit more important.

BL are not WOS..WOS did recruit..so check your facts..WOS are a group who have played together for a while and are very tight and that maybe the same with heccies..that helps in big games..BL will not be top 4 next year unles they recruit heavily again.. GG were an exception..BL is not GG and neither is heccies..blacks have been unable to go top 4 in 2 years and valleys in the end werent in the top 5..you must recruit to keep up with div 5..
