There was no all in as a result. Before you get on a public forum and open your mouth and let your belly rumble I would suggest you have you facts right. What you are refeering to occurred in the first Q the all in happen at the end of the third which your boundary umpire started!! How'd that work out for him!!!

Wrong on all counts. An official did see it.....I never mentioned in which quarter it happened and I never said which quarter the "all-in" happened. Those on the ground said the 'jerk' facilitated the niggle in the game which ended up what it was...anyway why would get defensive about a thug no matter who it is. Perhaps you might read future posts more diligently before responding...but given the year you've had I understand how might feel....just for you :goodman:

Perhaps your response was only given a cursory glance and not a diligent read because it was waffle.
Having said that no one likes to see a player felled behind the play. I didn't see what happened, I did hear an excuse, but I don't like to see it.
I also don't like to see boundary umpires involved in on the ground scuffles. It's a bit rich to call it an all in when there was really only pushing and name calling. A little bit like the use of the word 'jerk'.
Rightly our Div 2 side has had a stinker of a year, but our Div 8 sides both made finals and at the moment we are still in it.

I agree that anyone not wearing a Guernsey shouldn't get involved in on-field antics. Bottom line if the "jerk" (and I am being kind) had kept his hands in his pocket instead of smacking someone behind play we wouldn't be having this conversation.......

Good question and just on that....

What happened to the 18's game that was due to be held there on Sunday? Was the oval THAT bad?

Yes, it was that bad.

John came and looked at ours and said it was the best oval he'd seen that day...he'd just been to Modbury's.

All that Rain did it no favours. Kilburn oval made for a much greater spectacle... one of the best under 18's games ive watched (result not so great) in relation to talent on display. Umpired fairly well which was another bonus.. moving the game was the right decision in relation to creating a great game, not so big a fan of some dopey ladies comments on facebook about boycotting the bar and canteen if it was held at MFC.. she showed just how average a human being she can be.

The only reason I can think of is that our B grade are playing at Salisbury West at 12 midday. Give time for our support staff/supporters to get between the two grounds.

Well done to Adam Burkett from Salisbury on winning the Div 8R medal
Tonkin (GG) won Div 8 medal, 7 BOG'S in a row and having no votes after round 9 is a good effort. Too good for this level.

Rucked a little but normally just runs around doing what he wants. I think the guy you are thinking of only played half the season, massive guy with long sleeves. Think he polled about 9.

Never got close. :D

However a bloke I used to play with won a medal after only playing 8 games. He did his shoulder and never played again.

No you are correct, Tonks is too good for Div 8 but due to work commitments he cant play the early games.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

As always at this time of the year there will be some very disgruntled people after selection. Modbury will be no different.
