i think clg approach of making teams sounds "crap" actually can work apart from he screams it out in public. know a few years ago i played against a top team and our coach pointed out their weaknesses and made them sound just like an ordinary team. gets the players confidence up.

i heard the clg coach call warby 'the softest medal winner i have seen"..dunno what game he was watching

i also heard " your getting a good ride today pal" at the wos coach in reference to the umps

also heard.."whats the score?" still scratching my head on that one..and why did jake(clg ruck) spend so much time off the ground in the last 1/4 when clg was screaming for some height to take a mark up fwd??

i also observed the 3/4 time speech...its like an epic that grows with whispers in volume to outright yelling at the group.."if you kick the first 2 goals you will win because wos is..SOFT..they are SOFT"

he can obviously coach a bit and gl to him in his new job but some cliches need to be left in the 80s imo[/quote] lets set the record straight shall we....a player was told to stop falling over and keep his feet thats a skill in footy ,this guy has had chats to coach about it many times and has a great relationship with clg coach ...honestly what do u expect a coach team in a prelim when his team are right in the game if u listened everything to clg was positive towards clg ...a few one liners appear during games thats footy as well ...but obviously u didnt hear clg coach warburton how well he played and a worthy medallist ,i find it funny that most people on here that come up with this crap actually dont have teams in prelims or maybe they do who knows ...also clg coach and wos coach spoke for a long time after the game informally and very friendly...at clg coach instilled an attitude that winning is what matters and if clubs want to get out and are serious about footy and playing higher grades then winning is what matters ,if clubs arent thats fine as well ....so to all you arm chair critics ...have fun slamming the next clg coach ...clg will go on and do really well a foundation has been laid for the future ..ps here is a fact not a rumour ...WOS official approached a clg on baller who dominated after game re next year mmmm may be same player u reckon was in an altercation with WOS officials ...u guys crack me up ..good luck to WOS and HV will be a great game ...WOS if u can run the footy quickly to talls and maintain it then WOS wiil win if HV harras WOS and create turn overs dont let them run then HV will win ...will be a great game

IMO in the 1st half everytime the ball went to warby he busted his gut to get the ball, had great 2nd and 3rd efforts

Hey observer, will your sons be playing at CLG next year? If not, will they take anyone with them?

I reckon he was taken off because he couldn't get a kick all day. It wasn't working with him down there and probably wasn't going to work. A tough call to make, do you try something different or leave him there on the chance he may eventually stick a grab in the square?

I did find it amusing that some of the CLG players were already blaming the umpires after the game as they got together in a huddle. I thought the umps went unnoticed - a good thing.
