Well, he'd be right. In '07 they had to win the last game against Lockleys to avoid relegation.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about this year. Silly me, forgot that some blokes live in the past.

Nothing wrong with WOS or HV getting together at their respective clubs after good wins and making the GF and being promoted. That's what footy clubs are about. A few beers were had, but there was certainly no wild celebrations!! WOS almost were in Div 7 and we WERE in Div 7 in 2005, so it's great achievement by both clubs to now be in Div 5. Come tuesday after the Semi Final it was back to business and the same will go for WOS.

Well done to WOS on making the GF and gaining promotion.

Cheers mate.

In a promotion/relegation system league, there is certainly something to celebrate in making the GF, but I don't think we went wild. I'm positive I celebrated harder when we avoided relegation last year. :D

I know you'd be right SD in saying that neither of your teams think the flag's are yours, I was just making a point.

I think both teams have enough respect for each other and enough experience from their coach's and players to prepare themselves well mentally for Saturday. Shapes up to be a cracker.

Good luck to your B grade, hope they get up and have a win as they've been the best team all year - even though they did cost me a pineapple. :(

Have all you boys taken nice pills or something?
Now its all:
'oh you're so great well done'
'No no, you are so great well done to you'
Blah blah blah :vom: :vom: :vom:
At least Zman is trying to have a crack (albeit at me)!
I know you don't want to give ammo to the opposition, but makes for boring reading. I derive some sort of (misplaced) joy from this forum during my work day!

Premiership is the only glory. Promotion is little comfort after losing a GF.

Ok I have been over ruled there.. I think in the system that you play in thats not entirely true until you hit Div 1 where there is no where else to go. stand alone leagues yes aswell.

But I will go back into my box

Yeah a few of us ran into Funky at the medal count the other night. Most of the blokes that were playing A grade when he coached us are now running around in the magoos!

does anyone else have a similar food and drink card like heccies?? you only get it if you come to presentations and it would only cost the club around $10 per voucher.
