Its a difficult one when it comes to routines. Some blokes are better off doing what they normally do (within reason) a few beers the night before can be better than sitting at home thinking too much about the game

Difficulty is when people know that you have a 'friday night routine' and you have a stinker on Saturday people are far quicker to get upset

Well what a week end in footy! Great day for WOS, crap day for CLG A's & B's out and lose their coach, well done to Paul anyhow he's done well in his 2 years of coaching with them.

Hope all the Dads had a great day today :D

I think next week will be anyones game, Good luck to both sides im on the fence I dont know who will win???? Would love to see HV be able to finish with 2 flags would be a fantastic club achievement ( and one HELL of a PARTY after :partyman: ) but also think WOS have played well all season and deserve it too! So im going to be a girl and sit on the fence. GOODLUCK TO BOTH TEAMS AND GOODLUCK NEXT SEASON IN DIV 5!!

Well done to WOS.

I have to say im NOT sad to see both HV and WOS B Grade go to Div 5 next year
( only because its better for Trinity B Grade with them gone )

Goodluck to both HV and WOS next week, I think WOS will win just based on what I have seen this year but you never know HV played well against CLG and will also be determine to win both Flags.

I'd be 99% sure Neagle won't play on. Stephenson said he wants to go on another year. Bentley just had a kid, so he might be 50/50 but im confident he'll play again next yr. Clarke is only 18 and may attract offers from elsewhere and Howson is off with the fairies half the time so its anyones guess with those two!

i think if you get relegated and stay up on default ,then the third side(mitchell park) should be given the right to be promoted. winning 4 games doesnt warrant staying up , and not being able to field 2 sides on two separate occassions also says they need to go down.

Would agree BL's current record would not warrant remaining in Div 6 but the 3rd side being given the right to be promoted would have to weighed up very heavily from their committee as from what I saw this season MP would struggle in Div 6 and unless they picked up players would be bottom 3 which could end up doing more damage than good for the club and could see them just visit and go straight back down.

Spoke to Neags on Saturday and I get the feeling he is keen to play on next year after finishing the season on 199 games. Bentley will stay as well. I reckon the playing group needs a bit of a shake up though.

As for the game...

WOS flew off the blocks in the first quarter with all their players getting amongst it and contributing well. CLG compensated for the loss of Harvey by throwing both ruckman, Wild and Apostolopoulos, to the goalsquare. However, it meant that WOS dominated the centre clearances and stoppages with O'Hara winning much of the taps.

During the second quarter, Apo got thrown into the rucks and immediately won the ruck duel and turned the game. WOS's midfield dominance was negated and many of their players went AWOL for the next two quarters. They really struggled to get it past half forward at times as CLG's little blokes smashed them. Unfortunately, CLG didn't make the most of the forward entries and shots on goal, they really could've punished WOS. The saving grace for Westminster was O'Hara dropping back into the hole taking some timely grabs and Stephen Hayes at full back withstanding the barrage by marking and mopping up everything that came his way, was easily BOG and his teammates should be very thankful.

WOS switched on again in the last and kicked away. Hard to say whether they stepped up a gear or whether CLG had used up all their energy trying to peg back the lead. Conway and Ferris were kicking straight, which helped WOS's cause.

The Dragons will need to do something about the fadeouts come the GF. Can't have half your blokes going to sleep for two quarters in the biggest game of the year. Well done though on getting up to Div 5, they looked very, very stoked after the final siren. And very sore too.

Paralowie finished 3rd 4 seasons ago same scenario and were promoted to Div 6 and only won 1 or 2 games the whole season and went straight back down.

It's hard to say how a club will go after being spared relegation or being promoted from third. You never know what kind of recruiting success could occur over the next few months.

Big thumbs down to the CLG BBQ. What a disappointment to walk over there and find nothing on offer ](*,)

And how many times must we hear of CLG's supporters spitting off the balcony onto the opposition team as they leave the changerooms? Happened again saturday, bloody disgrace.

Certainly happened in the B Grade, and a few wanted to fight WOS officials after the A grade. A great effort by WOS who almost went down last year. HV the form team all rested up will be hard to roll
