and how was the CLG reaction after the match?? after the B grade CLG balcony was abusing heccies, no. 5 in A grade was a joke giving the finger to 2 wos bench 3 goals down just before half time

i think if you get relegated and stay up on default ,then the third side(mitchell park) should be given the right to be promoted. winning 4 games doesnt warrant staying up , and not being able to field 2 sides on two separate occassions also says they need to go down.

Commiserations to CLG team, some really good players but couldn't get it done on the day.

from my view and every1 else it looked like no. 5 was 100% serious with the finger, he seemed pretty fired up.

Anyway 2 more important things then no.5 where do u think the gf would be played, having hv wos hec playin in them, heccies. Maybe Paynehem?? but div 6 get the last choice have feeling could be at sailsbury??

Well done to WOS, bit too close for comfort though. If CLG had of kicked straight it may well have been a different story!

can confirm paul has resigned from the club, he left on good terms, although shattered was good to have some beers in the rooms after the game and thank paul for the job hes done, hope he sticks around in some role next year, we would love to keep him involved, recruiting and re-signing players starts now, we will bounce back and be stronger next year

anyway on behalf of the club id like to thank paul for his effort in 07 and 08, anyone who knew the old clg and the changes hes made would applaud his effort, and if we can keep the team we have plus add a few bigger blokes this group can go a long way.

good luck to HV and WOS, spoke to a few HV blokes in the huddle at quarter time and they seem like real good blokes so would be happy to see them win, they deserve it!

GO VALLEYS!

and why did harvey not play yestaday? you couldnt miss 2wks from having stitches??

Yeah, we certainly thought he would play given that it was a knockout game. Although i guess stitches in the arse are a little different to normal, the movements involved with running and playing footy in general would make it dangerous. I guess CLG rolled the dice somewhat and thought they would have him right for the GF. Anyway, enough on this subject because frankly thats life and every club can say 'what if', god knows we have had our share of bad luck over the years

So good to finally go up a grade after playing in many finals series including losing 3 prelim finals over the past 6-7 years

One things for sure we will be doing much more planning that when we last went to D5 in 2002 when we came straight back down the next year.

Last Saturday was for the club, this Saturday is for the players. Thats the beauty of the SAAFL and the promotion & relegation system

Should be a crackeer of a game against HV, a team & club that we have alot of respect for.
