Woody sth v Luthies - Gotta go with luthies here i think but will be close. 15 points
Rosewater v Greenacres - Rosewater will get up pretty comfortably in this one i think. 45 points
Pultney v Elizabeth - Elizabeth by plenty, 60 at least
CLG v CBC - Will be hard fought, quick, skillful game of footy. Think we may just get across the line, 21 points.
BOS v Para Hills - I'm going with Para Hills here, think they could be a contender. 45 points.

The SACFL issued an instruction last season that players cannot be contracted for more than one season until the player payment cap is finalised (it was planned for 2015 but has been delayed until 2016). If a player is being held on a two year contract that was signed starting in the 2014 season, it is potentially in breach of this instruction so there may be an out there.

I think they instructed that any contracts for 2 years needed to be lodged with the league

Did the said player play for Angle Vale or Elizabeth last season?

(westminster) were the underdogs going into the preliminary final against the highly fancied Colonel Light Gardens, and despite a three quarter time deficit, they rallied and won by 23-points

WOSFC led at 3/4 time by 7-8 goals approximately..

(clg) will only be challenged by Elizabeth and their round one opponent, CBC Old Collegians.

yet woodville south cats are one of the 3 featured premiership favorite club logos..

Expect Harry Arren’s boot to lead Colonel Light Gardens to the pointy end of the table with 2014’s Best and Fairest winner Ben Bamford’s Greenacres to be the big movers of the season.

harry arren??? wtf ..you gotta make sure that one sticks @BFG!
and bamford has left greenacres and is playing for broadview!

not hard to check a few facts out these days..good luck in the coming weeks writers.. :)

haha harry arren. If he actually read it he might care somewhat. I'll make sure the boys are aware of it though, highly humerous!

Good to see the cat get both wins tonight........ What a finish to the b's game.
10 seconds to go, throw in cats forward pocket. Ball to ground, SNAP. GOAL!!!! Cats win.
In the a's, LFC couldn't keep up. Dropping like flys with cramps. cats hold on to win.

Very sound start by BOS yesterday in the A's and the B's started well and then a more experienced side got on top over the next 3 quarters.
I do enjoy watching opposition bring their physical game out against our lads thinking it will bully them off their game. Our A's and B's really stood up against that yesterday.

My prediction for the ladder at the end of R18

1. Elizabeth (Look to have some good ins and were a quality outfit last year, I'm wary of reading too much into trial games but anytime you beat an opponent from a higher div, you must have a half reasonnable side)
2. CLG (injuries killed us late last year and if things had gone differently couldve beaten havens out there in the qualifying to go straight through)
3. Para Hills ( Dynamite at home last year and have a lengthy list of ins, if they can start to win away from home, expect them to improve on last year)
4. CBCOC ( Good side last year when everything clicked, will have to be more consistent across the whole year this year but should be around the mark)
5. BOS ( div 6 premiers have historically gone well their first year in div 5, dont think this will be any exception, always tough playing at their home ground and have got a few decent ins)
6. Rosewater ( Grand finalist last year in div 6 and have a long list of ins, could finish much higher but time will tell.)
7. Luthies ( Didnt see anything of them last year and havent seen to much movement on the recruiting front, in an improved div 5 comp, may find wins hard to come by)
8. Greenacres ( Few ins, few outs at this stage, played some decent footy at times last year but may find this year a bit tougher)
9. Woody sth ( couple of big outs at this stage, werent disgraced in div 4 last year by any stretch but again in a tough comp i think they may struggle)
10. Pultney ( Havent heard too many good things out of Pultney, know they had a couple of good college kids coming up but its a big step up, my tip for the wooden spoon.)

Just my opinion guys and anything can happen before round 1 or even during the year!

Is this still the case after round 1.............
