Surely saafl can't justify this entry fee for c/ d grade footy?
We might forfeit out of protest
Are you serious? So does this mean we need to pay to get in and play?
We didnt even charge to get into Harpers last weekend for the A and B grade unless you wanted to drive in.
You have no choice but to drive in at Salisbury so it is ridiculous that we have to pay to play.
Take Salisbury out of the equation, they will make $600 just out of GGFC,PAOC and UNI players providing we both field 25 players for a C/D grade game.
I think it is also ridiculous that Div 8 has to pay the $1000 fee like Div 2-7 but C1 down only pay $500 to host a home final. If we are not a C grade comp like the rest then we should play finals on a Saturday like the rest, but we then have to pay $1000 to host a final on a Sunday afternoon. This is why Salisbury have to charge to get into the ground to host the final.
I would say we would have taken up the home final if it was $500 as opposed to the $1000.
It's in black and white on the saafl website, so its no joke. play Let's just a game down the park using trees as goals!

Sorry I misunderstood I thought we also had to pay to get in.
Still think that the $1000 fee for a Sunday final in C grade is a bit rich though.

$1,000 is for 2 games if you only have one then it is $500

So if in Div 8 we had said we want our C grade to play at home this week we would only have to pay $500?
In this week we had no side in Div 8 res so we wouldnt be required to pay for that game then as we have no home side there?
It is irrelevant anyway really we didnt go for the home final anyway but I am just curious.

1 - The Salisbury FC itself is not charging anybody to get in. The SAAFL man the gate for neutral finals, and decide on the cost, we just supply the oval, bar, canteen, facilities etc.
2 - As FE said, each club gets 35 tickets to cover players, coaching staff, trainers and officials.
3 - I'm assuming it was chosen due to being the most central venue for the six clubs (Salisbury, Uni, GG, PAOC, TTG, EP) that are competing, bar Kilburn which is already being used over the weekend.
4 - Should be good weather and top day, it's the best venue in the SAAFL to watch finals footy (bias I know) so enjoy it lads.

Im happy with the oval and also that we as players dont have to pay. It has always been a cost to get into finals, I just thought $8 was a bit rich. I thought that Salisbury would have or should have been given a cut of whatever goes through the gate, surely your club members would not have to pay to get in?
Weather is suppose to be 20 so thats a winner too![/quote]

why cant a bloke just win it because he is good? I dont remember him but if he won he won, I thought that PAOC umpire was pretty good so I would assume he deserved it. Thought that the SMOSH guy with the helmet stood out against us both times but dont know his name?
