Yes Schaps has signed for this season and has been out training with us since last year.
He is fitting in nicely and along with Shane Goodwin and Ryan Rebbeck have been training exceptionally well.
We have Terry Sleep return and obviously Craig Schapel come across and then gained a couple of other handy players, but at the same time have lost a couple important walk up starters from last seasons team.
I think we will be in and around the mark to play finals footy, but most definately dont warrant premiership favourites.

Is Rebbeck to guy who tagged Laslett last year, and managed to keep him under 50 touches...only just though ? ;)

Only stirring, sounds like you guys have some good signings, and as you said will be right in the mix.

However, with the recruits they have picked up so far and apparently a couple of others to add to the list, their team will have a totally different look to it than it has recently. Hard to make any predictions as to how they will go although they will certainly be a team to watch in 2010.

Is the rolfe quoted above the former Norwood player, if so he had some of the best hands i ever saw through juniors and into Reserves level. Has he played there since Norwood???

One and the same, and yes he still enjoys the odd hanger or two.

IF those 3 were playing i would have old iggies as clear favorite but have heard from mates they wont be playing. but speaking to an iggies lad on the weekend they seem like they have a few coming back to the club. like joe duigun and such so will still be handy!

Where are Calabrese and Rolf playing this year?? Any Ideas??

Yep - the lads are enjoying pre-season - he has put some fun into the work

Good numbers out to training but going to be a hard year for us with such good sides in D3.

We are looking to consolidate with such a young side

Thought i would give my views on how things MIGHT plan out for the year. In no particular order.

CBCOC: Mayb only 1 loss from last years A grade squad. Mid pack finish for us. Hopefully we all get to watch a few more former AFL players.

Kilburn: Ive heard only very small numbers out to train. But money does talk and they may spend big in next couple of weeks. Bottom half

Mitcham: Really enjoyed playing this mob, we had some great games 2 years ago. its seems like an exciting place to be and with a years experience in Div 3 expectations will be lifted. Top half

Old Ignatians: Do they still play across the rd from HQ? Shocking deck. Do remember playing against Calabrese and Rolfe both very very handy. Mid pack

PAOC: Havnt heard much from Jimbo so that has me a lil worried. PAC wont want to be hanging around Div 3 for long. They will be very competitive. Mid pack

Para Hills: As much as they hate it they are the yard stick. Highest finishing team from Div 3 last year. Heard they had some handy ins. Top half

Portland: Some good ins and plenty of numbers on track. But mayb a key fwd short. The portland lads seem to be heaping the pressure on seaton and para. Mayb they secretly fancy themselves....... Top half

Scotch OC: Some key players out and some other key players not out to train yet...... But the power of private schools never underestimate it :D Bottom half

Seaton Ramblers: Big club coming down from Div 1 2 or 3 years ago? Have been made a favourite as well. Mid pack

SMOSH: Havent heard much about SMOSH but 2 years ago they were very very good. But 2 years is a long time in footy. Mid pack

Its going to be a great year and i think a lot of positions on the table wont be decided till the last rd.

Pretty good analysis so far i would think

must agree with Schimma though, Smosh havent lost many, only one and he is still a maybe is netchowski
well thats all I have heard about
they will definately be around the mark still

Seaton and Para hills the measuring stick though

heres what I think the ladder will look like excluding Portland

Para Hills
Seaton
Smosh
Iggies
CBCOC
PAOC
Mitcham
Scotch
Kilburn

Just a stab in the dark really
Top 2 could go either way
and I think the 4th and 5th spot will be up for grabs with any of the sides from 4-8, similar to last season
