Anyone From GG know if your A's play home this week will the game between GG & Modbury be on the bottom oval at GG or neutral ground?

Should make for a great rematch (on paper) for at least on one if not two more occasions.

Draft finals fixture on sporting pulse:

D8 QF: Golden Grove v Modbury - TBA.
D8R QF: Adelaide Uni v Salisbury

D8 EF: PAOC v Adelaide Uni -TBA
D8R EF: Modbury v PAOC

Talking to the GG folk after the game they weren't keen on a triple header although it makes sense and I left them trying to work out the logistics of having the game on the bottom oval

PAOC can't have finals? $10 says they'll go across the road to Park 10.
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

I don't follow the D8 thread that closely, so sorry if this has been discussed a fair bit.

What's going to happen to Ovingham next year? They surely won't be allowed to field their A grade against other sides D grades. I thought it was a mistake to allow it to happen this year. Does anyone from Ovingham know what is likely to happen? Is the SAAFL pushing for them to have a reserves side and compete in D8 and 8R? Are you likely to have the numbers for this to be an option?
Could Ovingham compete in D8 and have Wingfield as their D8R counterpart like Ovies did with Districts this year?

Without going back over the pages, I believe that thier plan is to have two sides next season so would either mean playing Div 7 or fielding a Div 8 and Div 8R side, IMO they would and probably should start in Div 8 unless someone like Broadview would want to come back down next year.

Cheers Tex. Yea I wouldn't think it would really be fair to have Ovingham in D8R for another year given their results this season.

Personally i hate to say it but imo this finals season will be their swan song
other pressures may finally put them out of business just as they were about to grow as a club
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Probably nominate 8R to keep smacking whinging clubs who cry getting beaten by an 'A grade' team yet happily stack their teams to win lower grades

The only side that is playing finals in their D grade and not their C grade is Salisbury and I guarantee they would want both in, our D grade didn't make it, PAOC have both sides in as do UNI and Modbury. SMOSH only have their C grade in too. So not sure who is stacking any teams to win D8R but never let the truth get in the way of a good story, guys like DeeMan work to build your club and for him I'd like to see the best side win the final, but comments like this is why most would like to see you lose on GF day!

Ovingham love swanning around in the lower grades winning flags, medals & leading goal kicking awards and bragging that they are the best club in the comp!!!!

Lets clarify something.

Seeing that our 8s won today and we are actually AUFC lowest team, where do we stand in your deliberations?

We are looking forward to the clash buddy.

Particularly in light of your derogatory comments about my fair club.
