not involved on the committee this year boosh, but yes have had a bit of a role to play over the last 5 years.
unsure of any in's but have heard that there are no outs to date which is a great sign for the club.
looking forward to watching and encouraging the lads in 2011 and helping out around the place on game day. who knows, the last time we played in div 6 we took the chocolates :)

What's happening with the "b" grade coach sprint, notice you advertised in the Sunday mail on the weekend. It's getting a bit late to be looking for a coach, Did you have one appointed already?

i did see that on sunday. i don't think one had been appointed for 2011. i guess it is getting a bit tight now that pre seasons are well underway. i'm sure one will be found.

Its not the end of the world as im sure the A Grade coach would have been running training anyway. We lost our A Grade coach the week of the first game last year and still managed[/quote]

You are correct mate, I just found it slightly odd thats all. Maybe they could have attracted more players to the club should they had advertised earlier. (being the B grade coach may have bought 1 or 2 players with him). As I said I'm sure they will find someone decent

managed to get relegated!!

That was quick. Yeah was last season but I think the change in coach didn't have too much bearing on that other than maybe we would have won the first game if we had a coach in place by then.

The damage was already done by the coach in 2009 and both OB and Roller were working toward the same goal of repairing the damage. Both are well respected coaches so I think we didn't lose out too much in the end.

you ran out of legs in round 1. i goal umpired that game. we were horrid for 3 quarters but as your big lad eagles died out we found a way to sneak in front.
then the return bout was played under water and we had no legs. that game doomed us to relegation and it was only rd 10.

All true but the disastrous decision to have both the guys that applied for the job involved in round 1 was certainly detrimental to the side and we only lost by a point

Can't imagine Rowlands would have much of a game plan, especially if he coaches like he plays. Bit all over the place. They will have to rely heavily on the 2 or 3 guys that can actually play to drag them up the ladder and that would only be mid range at best.
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

We will rely heavilly on 2 or 3 guys thats not in debate, we are in Div 6 for a reason we can't expect to have a team of quality players. In the meantime we will use the better players that we have to their full capacity and hope the younger lads gradually improve over time to take their place.

Exactly. That is why you will be battling relegation again. Eagles, Dempsey and Kolbig are the 3 to shut down. Eagles - when on is very hard to stop, but still even his best won't carry whats around him. Dempsey is getting on a bit and not sure how much influence he will have, but dangerous if fit and allowed to roam free. Kolbig - has won the last 2 B&F's and goes OK but he is not a match winner. Other than that you'd probalbly have more concerns about matching up on a Whitches hat than anyother player.

Chump - You are obviously from around our way if you know so much and like I said we will rely on those players plus a couple others but we are a lower division side that is how it is for a lot of clubs. We do lack a little bit of depth and experience but I strongly doubt that means we will be getting relegated

Yes I am from the peninsula and am well aware of what is running around at your club. Three players will not turn the club around even in Div 6. Lets face it 2 of those players have been there the last two years and have lead them to relegation, so essentially you are relying on 1 player. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Another easy trip to Largs North this year on the cards.

No luck needed, not when you are playing a team that think they are AFL level players, but would be lucky to get a gig in the minny league at half time.

Just sick of hearing or over hearing how good North Haven are going to be this year by most people involved in the club in local bars and pubs. The simple fact is they were relegated two years in a row, the guys that are playing this year are the same guys that have been playing for the last 2 or more years with little to no improvement and they have recruited 1 player.
