Mithcham not to drop a game is a big call, as for haven not bein there at the business end... What possible could give ya that idea? They have played finals for the last 3 years running and played the prelim in 06. Havens are travellin along beautifully. All keeping very level heads and are getting great numbers.

There's always lots of talk about Portland. This was the Portland forum last year

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH, I don't think I have ever laughed so much in my life. If Portland could see past there inflated egos they might win a game, and as for cash haven, they continue to throw money at people who chase money who dont even care what happens on the field just as long as they get paid. So dont expect them to be anywhere at the business end. Mitcham far and above anyone else in this Div and will win it with out even dropping a game.

Mate the only one with the inflated ego sounds like yourself. 3 posts in your havin a go at season campaigners like the felch. Pull your head in mate and show some respect to the blokes who spend all day on the computer instead of working.

Monday, Thursday training.

He can play, but takes him 3/4 of a season to get fit !!! Played his best footy late last year.
In all seriousness, if he got himself fit he would be an A grade midfielder - he is strong over the ball and skillful. Fitness lets him down big-time.

sorry to get off topic guys, but I've seen Fitzroy's proposed draw for 2008.

In it we play 16/18 games against the same sides as our C grade- potentially we could have 16 triple headers!
The only side not to have a C grade is CBCOC, their place in C4 has been filled by one of Adel Uni's 200 teams...

Do you think it's possible to get the 7 other clubs to agree to the triple header format?
logistically & financiall, it would be a big windfall for all clubs to persue this.
Is anyone against the concept?

Also, how are clubs looking with C grade?
Fitzroy have never looked stronger as far as list depth (numbers) goes.

We will have a C grade for sure, good numbers already. Not sure on how good they will be, but should be a fair bit better than last year.

Triple headers suit our club for sure - as soon as the official draw comes out, we can get the wheels in motion Punky.

I may have said this before, but we had, from memory, 8 triple-headers last year - all worked very well.

Not sure if all clubs in D4 are for them though - im pretty sure a few clubs knocked our request back last year.

I know Pooraka liked the idea - the other 3 teams we played are all gone from our grade. Pretty sure Haven played a few last year too.

speaking as one of those 200 coaches, i'm sure that if you approach the club uni would probably be up for a triple header if it could be arranged.

cheers Finn, we'll keep that in mind.
How did it work though?
Did Adelaide Uni play 2 away games, or 1 home, 1 away?

That's interesting, they knocked us back when we asked them last year...

We played triple-headers against North Haven...

Just wondering whats going on with john bird this year, i heard he has left the party life and is getting ready for a big year at portland returning to his under 17s form. I heard he hasnt been out to training but when i drove past le fever high school he was out there having a kick in there school footy uniform. Isnt he to old to be playing school footy, anyway he looks like his kicking has improved.
Also word going around is young benny warren has signed at portland, i heard he has played at port adelaide magpies and seaton A grade. this could be a great pick up maybe even a association medal hopefull.
