Lutheran's height was a troubling factor as they dominated the next two quarters but failed to gain a substantial lead, we were just doing enough to keep in touch.
Trailing by 21 points at 3 quarter time there was still belief in the group and plenty to give, it was an epic battle in the last quarter as we clawed our way back mainly through the older heads.
I know that we're not exactly the best team going around but Lutheran have so much to offer and it astounds me that they are sitting 8th, they are a bloody good side and extrememly hard to match up on. I thought we were going to struggle when I seen near perfect conditions, we needed some rain, it was a great win by the boys and there were no passengers for the day.
Now we have the huge task of playing an in-form Lodge at the Lodge, they keep turning out the good performances week in, week out.

entertaining off the field as well. a couple of old blokes next to us just lightly stirring the pot most of the day. bit of trash talk early in the first quarter from an a grade player toward me as the interchange steward about my green folder. as if an a grade player in the top side should gove a toss about my folder. nonetheless, i was flattered he noticed and commented on it. that folder has been through some very good times with me at BOS. first time in our 5 years that the opposition time keeper has sat with ours and then challenged most of the time keeping by our bloke. all's well that ends well though. enjoyed the banter immensely.
now, on to valley's this week in what will be, and quietly confident that we'll put in another proud performance.

Haha, I heard about that. That was Howie and anyone who knows him will tell you he's a space cadet at the best of times. So I wouldn't worry about that comment too much.

I've never heard of him to be honest, but on the same token i haven't been down at the factory (club) much over the last month or so on saturday nights so i don't know whats going on. Woodublv12 would prob be the one to ask, but he'll probably just straight bat the question back to you (which will be a first for him coz he doesn't do it during the summer months!).
I think retainment of current new players, and retainment of u18s need to be a priority at the seasons end.
But if he's that good then sign him up, whats he doin this saturday!
