This year we have experienced incredible growth, and obviously on field success - success that frankly is foreign to a lot of people.. but with winning comes greater attention, scrutiny and often antagonising from opposition. No one gave two shits when we were easy beats, now we are winning. We have members who struggle with that, members who come from low socio-economic backgrounds, members who come from dysfunctional broken families and members who are "old school"... members who struggle to regulate their emotions or feel they need to display some "staunch" persona.

That's not to make excuses for peoples behaviour, drunken carry on, or on / off field incidents - we don't condone it.. but we are trying., and we will continue to try.. and we will weed out the bad eggs in time, and we will hopefully build something sustainable.

Don't claim to be perfect, don't justify peoples actions or behaviours.. but there are a LOT of good people at Ingle Farm, a lot of passionate, hard working people who want to do the right thing and have the best interests of the club, community and competition at heart.. and we have a lot of good people who want the same but aren't very good at knowing how to deliver that or cant regulate their emotions or struggle with zipping their mouths when drinking.

Personally, I think it's great seeing all the clubs in our area having success, I love seeing Para Hills having a good season (as well as Gepps, Kilburn and then up the road Modbury etc).. having been in the same position (as PH) I'm proud of them getting through some tough seasons finally getting reward, and it's good for competition and it's good for our communities.

No one is perfect, especially us.. but we aren't bad either. Please, don't let minorities dictate your perceptions on the club, give the good folk a chance to fix it. The weight of other peoples **** ups at the club sit heavily on the shoulders of those who care and invest effort, not just people involved in any incidents.

Your second paragraph is just excuses. Good clubs weed those out or facilitate change. Winning culture doesn't automatically change how one acts. Also on field success only matters if you are promoted of win a flag

Wubbzy, give them a chance to weed them out. I bet many have only recently returned to the club because they started winning again.

Good luck Bedge and to Ingle Farm.

Tend to think there's a huge difference to between circumstances of a club who accepts that they are in the need of cultural evolution, but also know that this doesn't happen overnight as opposed to those who regard perceptions of a need for cultural change as overblown or a conspiracy.

Realistically, a club who accepts there's something they need to work on will in turn work on it leading to change. It's the sticking the head in the sand approach that is more troublesome.

Rough not being able to host your own Prelim.

Houghton is fenced too. Unless your coming in for people's backyards you can't really get in.

In 2021 when we just played Semi-Finals and Grand Finals because of Covid issues in July - all finals were played at neutral venues with fences and $ entry. It was then decided by the league that moving forward all Prelim and Grand Finals across Men's and Women's would be played at gated neutral venues with $ entry. The Regs were amended accordingly and this was communicated to all clubs before the 2022 season commenced. There was a time until at least well into the 90's or even later when all finals were played at neutral venues which included the use of SANFL grounds.

D7 has come alive. What a few underdogs were able to out coach a poorly coached Houghton, and you 'try' to bring the division alive again???

Come on, Bedge, you are better than that!!!!!!!

At the end of the day, this division is between Ingle Farm and Premierhills (as you have named them).

Unfortunately, the only interesting thing this division has got going for it, until finals start is if Premierhills Forward Weetra kicks 100 goals for the season, along with the S#!t your writing.

That "poorly coached" Houghton finally got promoted to D6 - what are you saying about the previous coaches who were unable to do that?

Well done to all those at Ingle Farm and Houghton who've worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get their clubs to this position.

Poorly coached at the time, YES!!!!!
In saying that, I'll wear my previous comments. Full credit were credit is due, great work, Houghton and Coach. Clap, clap and also here's a high five. Good luck with Saturday.

I wasn't saying anything about the previous coaches as I didn't even mention them. Did you want to speak about them?

While you're here, what's your thoughts on div6 and div7 merging to make 1 division? I would love to know your thoughts
