Won't be playing heaps of games but will make a massive impression in the ones that he does. The boy is deceptively quick and very strong (used to have a national top 10 ranking in under age swimming).

Should be good in the wet then

Probably the best thing Billy Decelis has done in recent years...

i believe things are shaping up better than your letting on morgs.

you guys will definately suprise alot of teams who have spent heaps and recruited heavily.

So they should too. Have a look at the history of teams that have dropped down from Div 6 in recent times and most (Glenunga an exception) have gone striaght back up after spending only one year in Div 7. I've spoken to a couple of lads from MPFC and they are quietly confident on having a strong impact on Div 7 in 2011.

All clubs will try to recruit heavily Dee Man but wouldn't expect of the clubs to be forking out the coin to players at this level. The only person I've heard of spending is Mario Sabatino and if you don't know what club he's linked to in Div 7, scroll back a few pages of this topic.

We should improve on 2010 ;)

We have managed to get hold of some new faces, have hopefully convinced a couple more out of retirement to give us a hand, plus seemingly kept the core group from last year.

Not talking it up as there is nothing to be gained from being a January hero. I think Glenunga and Mawson Lakes and to a slightly lesser extent Ingle Farm are still the pre-season favourites. We could also benefit quite greatly from a big-bodied, talented, booming left footer, full forward with a surname starting with B - know anyone fitting that description?

...still as it is now I wouldn't mind a bit of a wager on the MPFC at the odds of 51-1.

You just never know at this time of the year, I thought we were a good chance to make a strong impact in our first year back in Div 6 but injuries, other clubs improvement, luck and terrible coaching by dee man* cost us severely and we finished 3rd bottom.

You're too modest Morell. Glenunga have picked up half a dozen Fitzroy rejects, Mawson Lakes have picked up 2 blokes old enough to play Super Rules and Ingle Farm have only 12 blokes out on the track. You're kidding yourself if you think you'll get 51-1 for the flag. Unless the gents I've been speaking to at MPFC have been telling me lies!

Hey, they weren't my odds!

Still, Glenunga have the budget of a SANFL club and those half a dozen Fitzroy rejects are still Div 4 A-Grade rejects to the best of my knowledge.

I have heard mixed reports on ML, some say they will be near unbeatable and others are saying they have lost half their side and replaced them with the leftovers from Resthaven. Truth is probably somewhere in the middle, they are a bit of an unknown...

Ingle Farm beat us convincingly at home last year and have improved on that list - will (should) be in the top 3 or 4.

Not much noise coming from any of the C Grade sides or Angle Vale/Flinders Uni, perhaps they are quietly lurking as well.

Not sure who you are speaking to from MPFC, very unlike us to spread untruths. Tell me their names and I will ensure they cease their rumour mongering.

Should be a competitive year. :D

Is that Sean Buss (ex Nth Pines/Port Magpies junior)? if so he will DOMINATE div 7, bloke is a gun.

Ingle Farm commence training tonight, so not sure how you can say they only have 12 on the track

If Damien Bates has returned from Murrayville to Mitchell Park, there is another 100 goal a season Div 7 player. If he plays the full year, Mitchell Park WILL be Top 3 IMO.

haha, nah, he hasn't returned, that was more a hopeful plea as I believe he frequents these forums...

I did hear he will play for anyone that promises to fix Triple J's Hottest 100.

Ingle Farm are in the same boat as Mitchell Park having dropped down a grade. I'd expect Norwood legend David Payne to have them back firing after a couple of disastrous years. Ingle Farm are probably the biggest club ever to enter Div 7 and anything short of a Grand Final berth would be looked at as a disappointment.
