also, this will sound like whingeing about umpiring and it is not, it was just simply crap both ways. no feel at all for the game or the conditions from the two umps there on saturday. frankly tired of providing feedback on umps as well as it is always met with a page of explanatory notes that are as inaccurate as the decisions. it's the worst in the five years we've been in the comp. had one of them in another game this year and was just as bad that day.

Cheers Sprint, well played by you guys. Gotta love the rain, I hope it rains every Saturday for the next 8 weeks.![]()
Spot on about the umpiring mate, in a wet weather game they just have to let it go on a bit more. The yellow card that one of your guys recieved at quarter time was disgraceful and non-required. There was nothing more than a schuffle, thats all.

heres one for ya sprint , plympton received a free kick well after the qtr time siren about 45 metres out shot misses as soon as it missed 25 metre penalty for abuse form the crowd re kick goal these guys just do what they want no need to adhere to any rules just do what u want umps lol even the umpires observer would have abused this ump after the 1st quarter he dished up

i reckon the umps went against you blokes a couple of weeks back when we played just because of the heckling from the lads behind the club room end goals late in the game. i was pretty entertained by their banter as i adjudicated the goal kicking at that end. it is total rubbish that an ump is influenced by what the crowd has to say.

Jabber wrote:I wasn't at the game, but my dad did ring me after that and explain it to me, does sound like he's made up his own set of rules there. I'm not sure if a free kick can even be awarded to start with! let alone a free kick and then a 25 after the fact. The way dad explained it to me was that an elizabeth player ran through a plympton group of players and collected a few of them on the way through maybe? thats the only thing that he could see that it was for?!?
I think during quarter breaks the only thing that can happen is a player/official/coach/etc can be reported, but no free kicks. i think!
Is that how you saw it? I know you can however hand out 25s for umpire abuse from crowds, but it'd want to be a fair bit of abuse if i was ever to give one of those out! But not when the free kick should not have been given in the first place!

yeah pretty much how it was and crowd abuse a 25 pretty much means the umps can do anything and say crowd abuse
