We've been informed its 50. The fact remains to field 2 teams my view has always been you need 60 absolute minimum. Injuries etc etc take their toll in the wet months. We know we can have the required numbers by our deadline, but more confident we will have 60 plus by season start. Bring the season on its going to be awesome. :)

Definitely agree that 30 per side is a good rule of thumb particularly in the middle of July on muddy ovals!

You would require more than 60 on your books to get through the season if you were fit and firing let alone if you are struggling with numbers on the track and struggling to win games.

And have 18 blokes missing out on a game some weeks? Not likely.

Fact is that, generally, your last side is going to require a ring around or play short on some weeks, whether that last side be your B-grade or D-grade.
