League needs to send the Salisbury ump a please explain.

What the hell is he doing sending people off with Yellow cards if he didn't see the incident?
We can't have umpires going around sending blokes off willy nilly.

 ;)

Actually the guy was sent off for a dust up that occurred as a result from the incident he and one of our players were sent off not for the actual hit.

If the books been closed then fine but the truth needs to be said first.. The Salisbury umpire saw everything and sent the bloke off and told him he had a yellow card before the golden grove player even got there to step in. If he said he didn't see the incident he is lying. The guy got sent off for 10 minutes for breaking a players jaw! It's a disgrace that this sort of thing can happen and nothing gets done about it.

Can't say we are surprised if it is the same well conditioned guy we had at our game he did display traits very similar to this.

Yep that's what should happen at a minimum. The umpire sent the Salisbury number 20 off about 2 seconds after he king hit the golden grove player without taking advice from anyone so there is absolutely no doubt he saw it. At the time the speed the umpire dealt with it was actually excellent only prob is he should have been red carded and reported as well! Don't want to sound all negative though the fact that Salisbury told the guy to get changed and didn't put him back on was excellent. Has Salisbury imposed any further punishment internally? There were some good blokes out there and I feel for them trying to clean the clubs image up. It's a real concern that there have been a few of these incidents lately. Smithfield last week were even worse by the look of it..

Don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining

The Salisbury player in question is not playing C's however the club has named him in the D's!

What kind of example is this setting for playing group, let alone the player himself???

Play the higher grade do something stupid, then play the lower grade the following week to do it again!!!!!

Not good enough he should miss the rest of the season!!!

Someone said they are trying to change the club.....

Talk the talk walk the walk............

FFS, there was no report and GG isn't putting in an investigation.

Clearly the club doesn't think it warrants taking it any further so why make yourselves look like complete and utter whingers by carrying on about it.

Give it a rest. It's over, it's done - the alleged Salisbury player in question hasn't been charged with anything, so anything you say about him in your vigilante attempts to bring in justice, hereforth is slanderous.

Rant over.

and end of subject...

I am disappointed our club isn't putting in an investigation, I guarantee we (as in the guys teammates) thinks it warrants something but when the actual ump in control claims he saw nothing and ours wasn't near the play then what can we do? Sure our ump could lie and say he saw it but that's not what anyone wants is it. Venting frustration about a kids jaw getting broken by a low act is hardly whinging, I said the Salisbury guy was lucky he got way with it and he was, I am disappointed that Salisbury didn't at the very least give the kid a week off to show him its not on, they ad the chance to possibly prevent him doing it again. I get he is just 17 himself so as a club they ave a responsibility to teach him what's right on the field, playing him in the D grade is no punishment.

Ok.

Do you think you could at least give us all 24 hours rest before you lot start on your next rampage against anyone who dares sneezes in the wrong direction of the Golden Grove FC at tomorrows game...

Fairly poor form from GGFC to not request an investigation.

Pretty sure you will find that not everyone that had issue with this is not from GG in fact only myself, Hefty and Johno are. Granted the rest wouldn't know about it if it wasn't for us, but, they all agree that this shouldn't happen in footy.

Take Salisbury out of it, it just shouldn't happen and no-one, be it my club or others should be allowed to get away with it.

Do not use this forum for your own personal vendetta to bring a whole club down because of one stupid kid.

Tell your friend to press criminal charges if he feels that badly about it.

If he chooses to let sleeping dogs lie, then so should you, or otherwise one day it will come back to bite you in the arse because someone from your club will screw up and you lot will be the first to ark up if anyone dare says anything bad about your club.

You are not the tribunal, nor are you a judge or a jury.

As far as I'm concerned, if it hasn't been pulled in by the league it's a non event.

Sometimes bad things happen in footy.

Rubbish. I have never nor will ever defend anyone who does that on the field my club included. Tell the guy with a broken jaw it's a non event. Only issue I have with Salsbury is if he kid plays tomorrow, they know what happened and agreed it was not on. On the day they handled it well and I have no vendetta against the club, in all my time of playing them this is the only time anything dirty has happened.

I just think that to just label this as another GG whinge is not warranted. We have a guy with a broken jaw and this doesn't just happen, it's not Salisburys fault at all, they didn't send anyone out to do it, I wishwe had pushed to have it seen by the SAAFL and as I said not sure why we didn't. Tell me that you wouldn't feel the same if a HV lad came to you with a broken jaw?

Yes but I wouldn't be trouting off on here. I'd be speaking to my committee and the player in question to ensure that an investigation would happen.

You've now missed that boat, so leave it alone.

FC, it's pretty simple really, if u dont want to read it trott off to the forum page that involves ur actual club. And someones jaw being broken is a fair bit different to someone "sneezing in the wrong direction".

Last time i checked this was a discussion forum!

Great to get two wins up yesterday, Modbury were not as competitive as the first time round, ten goal win in that weather is a great effort. Now comes down to us and SMOSH this week, the winner to take top spot and get the all important firs week off in finals.
