I vote for the bye.

Giving volunteers and trainers a sleep-in a couple of times a year is preferable to them running all over metropolitan Adelaide trying to get to two different ovals on Saturday.

Pretty sure most B-Graders would relish a bye too!

I know you live in the Hills Q but going from Ovingham to Adelaide High School is hardly all over metro Adelaide
so you advocate to have one less home game a year

That should leave about 10 minutes to strap and rub a complete A grade team, can't wait to see how stressed HBF is for this game....Look out boys. :axe:

Perhaps the a graders who require strapping could head to the b grade leaving only rub downs for before the game.

Thinking if Broadview nominated there too that it will be out of Modbury, Flinders Park and Broadview for the last spot. i don't know where Modbury and Flinders have nominated for though.

So hundreds of players are going to be mucked around throughout the season for the sake of one club which will last 5 minutes - GREAT decision this one.

Still a **** for volunteers. I live at Hectorville, everywhere is close

Why not keep Ovingham in C1, play UniSA as a D7 and give the B-Graders a bye twice a year. Still means every club gets nine home games.

we cant as that will give C1 11 teams, which doesn't work at all

Unfortunately we have to make it fit somehow and D7 being the lowest A Grade comp gets it
Is it ideal - No but it is what it is

Just suggesting a possible solution to the problem of the a and b grade being at different grounds approximately 5-10 minutes apart. Players should be prepared to be flexible as well as expecting club trainers (who are often volunteers) to be. It's not perfect but let's just hold off on judgement until the end of the year and remember that clubs had the final vote on this proposed grading.

Also, it's still only November, who's to say things won't change before April - as they have every year for the last 10.

What about the Smithfieldians, that's an extra train and bus trip, and there's only one person with a mobile if anything goes wrong.

You would well and truly know my thoughts !!! This is absolute crap......another failure of our mighty league!! If you can't fill 2 sides then p##s off to the C grade comp. Sorry to be harsh but its the truth. It makes a mockery of all the clubs, i use Smithfield for an example, who worked their asses off to rebuild their club!!

Div 7 no doubt has to have C grade teams Atm, but please let's not have them complaining about playing A grade clubs. TTG and Henley, 2 great and strong clubs, would have played in 9 out of 10 Grand Finals in Div 7 in 2012, but ran in to the best Div 7 A grade team in a very long time. Sorry but Mitchell Park are going to be Div 5 or better very soon if their structures and players stay together which I am confident they will. Div 7 needs C grade teams but only the best will do and Henley will only make clubs like UniSa and Ovingham pale in to insignifigance. If the current proposed standings apply then Henley would be odds on to take out the flag and maybe join Adel Uni in Div 6. My thoughts only on what I know and have seen. Banter all you like. :D

Well as the coach of The Owls i am confussed what the league is after by playing two clubs one as A grade and the other as B grade. Simple would be two go up and two come down from higher div so why is two clubs one team each going to play in div 7 which other team have we lost out of div 7.

One the brighter note we had our first training last wednesday night good turn up around 21 and alot of new faces. the new army base at the raaf base might be good for us as we have around 5 + coming out to train.
