Umps seemed consistent without being great ( but when are they) I thought it was a line ball decision on the siren but IMO the right call was made. Credit has to go to the honesty of the timekeeper, could have quite easily left it for 2-3 seconds and assured seaton of the win, be very interesting to see this weeks results to compare where everyone is at.

From the 2 impartial people I've talked to this is absolute rubbish - Siren sounded a good 6-8 seconds before the kick that put Seaton in front. IF PNU Supplied a time-keeper, then perhaps a decision could be made to change the result?

Line ball decision I can accept that but 6 to 8 seconds whoever you are speaking to is pulling your d!$k. The ball was on the boundary side next to the club rooms where the siren is. Do yourself a favour before you write dribble next time and count out 8 seconds in your head. Why wouldn't the siren be blown again if play kept going if it was 8 seconds? Why wouldn't all the players stop. There was 2 umpires one towards the seaton end and one in the middle (once again where the siren is) 6-8 you gotta be kidding!

why don't seaton invest some money into a new siren? they have made a lot of money over the past years from the carpark with the afl no reason why they couldn't afford a new siren.

I think you would find that even some Seaton people would agree the ball was kicked after the siren, but to suggest 6-8 seconds after is rediculous.

Spoke to one of the PNU blokes today, he mentioned the siren controversy but did say that the players and coaches were honest and accepted the better team won on the day, and there was plenty of room for improvement etc. Seaton seem to have built on their squad from last year (remember they finished top two) so they will certainly be hard to beat this year.
Looking at the scores in today's paper from divvy 3, certainly the closest division so far (compared to some of the blowouts in div 4-8!!!) so hopefully an exciting season for all teams involved.

you suggesting there is financial trouble at season? I'm sure a lot of clubs in the saafl would love to have the extra income that seaton gets from the car park.

what bullshit? even you yourself said you reckon it happened a couple years back so obviously theirs a problem and it needs to be fixed. And seriously if the club can't afford to get a new siren hows the club going to survive once the afl goes to adelaide oval. Everyone knows seaton make a nice bit of money from the carpark.

Mickey has legitimate reason to post in here - you're just being an argumentative little turd without having any idea of what you're actually talking about.

So if anyone is going to GTFO, it's you.

hang on where have i been argumentative? all I did was say maybe seaton should invest money on a new siren, and that they would have plenty to do so from the afl car park. Mickey himself is the one being argumentative telling me I have NFI. Well if I have NFI then why doesn't someone tell me where i'm wrong instead of saying it. Obvisously if what I said was wrong he would stated the fact to back up his comments.

Agree. Should be a new siren. They make good Dollars from The Carpark - if they can't afford a (obviously needed) bloody siren upgrade, then whats going on?

He might be a moron and poor grammatically most of the time, but his points here are reasonable?
