Crap. He signed about a month ago.

How about leaving some players for the other Port Adelaide sides, with out any new recruits.

We both know that the portland and districts have done very little recruiting this year. Westhoff is very unlikey to be at pdfc

I call into DP world today in my job. The port districts guys are all yapping about them announcing rod SMITHERAM as the Captain. Keeping the harmony was what they were saying between the new coach and old. Saw Tylor there at DP world as well and am guessing he works there

Think you will find that Rod Smitheram is in the player auction at Reynella FC

Dunno. You could tell these guys were districts players by what they were sayin. Ears pricked up when they were all saying that SMITHERAM was the new captain and all the reasons like keeping the peace. Convo went on for 10 or so minutes while I was waiting for my appointment.

Think you will find that Reynella has now retracted its player auction lists. Rocket to definately play at Districts

Oh well seems as true about Smitheram as captain if 100% playing. Strange to be captain to keep the peace. Thee same guys were talking about 4 of their Districts team mates training at Woody Sth as well

Back at DP world again today. The guys realized I was the guy from Friday and had a laugh. All good and recruiting now back on track. Huge signing with Corey Grove. 6.4 gun forward from the Magpies who played well in a trial against the Power last Friday night. Him an a stack of blokes who have all now left the Port Magpies. The guys reckon top 3

I know this guy personally and i am 100% that this is false. He is all about Port Magpies and would only leave there for another SANFL club. I should know i tried to get him to come play with me.

Nice retraction Petcon. Did you get a rap around the knuckles for your previous comment and have to make good on it? Only joking! If Corey Grove plays for Pt Districts then the SANFL system will fail him. There is no way he will play SAAMFL for districts this year. As for the other signings of Williams and Tiller i dont know mauch about them. Hardly tope 3 chances for two signings one form FFL and the other from Lincoln. With key position players leaving Largs this year after the money has dried up or whatever i cant see that top 3rd positon being that for Districts. There are a few other clubs that will take that mantle over them. COmpetition is set to be an awesome year.

i was very surprised to see Grove signing at Pt Districts, i spoke to him about a month back and he said he would be staying on with the Magpies again, i think it is just as a back up if things go wrong during the year and Tyles did coach him to an u/19s flag so there is the connection, he was signed at Sals Nth when Tyles was coaching there and i dont think ever registered a game for them so i think it will be a similar arrangement,

Harry Tiller is a young lad that goes pretty well but i think his lack of size might hurt him at this level, will be a good player in the future for districts.

100% agree Picca, i think Grove signing at Districts is just incase he is injured and has to come back through the SAAFL. I would think he would push hard for league selection at Port Adelaide.

If you are referring to Harley Tiller, he is a good little player, very skilled, but he is very small. He played in an U18 SANFL premiership as an U16 and was rated highly by Port Adelaide.

Yeh good to have the young fellas back full time to play senior footy. going to have a very young squad but maybe able to prove some of the haters wrong during the year

I don't know Tiller but have heard similar things to Piccachu. Merrit's a good lad with good potential but have heard that he and Tiller have upset the few senior players left with some 'party boy antics'.

That's not like Harley or Ross at all. :)

I wish we held onto Harley, he's a little gun. His size is the only thing holding him back from being a regular at the Maggies.

Heard from the port districts camp that dual Ken Farmer medalist Mark Tylor could be positioned 1 out in the square this year!
