I really don't know what to say about this argument apart from if you don't want to train 2 nights a week and push yourself to play A grade and be part of the clubs culture go play for one of these 1 team clubs who will struggle for numbers every season.

Its all part of the fun mate, just hoping to divert everyone's attention away from Mitchell Park's amazing coaching staff and the direction they are taking the club. Whether it's club colours, training methodology or common football myths. Anything will do

even tho alot of the posters are friends of mine i must admit i havent read so much crap in my whole life
some are players,some coaches,some ex coaches and alot of people who think they are better than coaches
this all should be on a thread alot higher up the league
truely understand clubs and coaches ect trying to get the best out of their players but lets be real
the fitness is of course a great benifit as well as strenght flexability ect but lets be real
the guys playing down at this level is for the love of the game
they work,have families and commitments
if you can get them to one training your doing well,esp if its all on the same night
you need to manage players not burn them
and the main thing that no one has mentioned is not the fitness,strenght ect but the fact that if they dont know how to get the pill and what to do with it,your waisting your time
talent comes naturally,not trined or drummed into them but discipline,which is what wins games is another matter
and at this level,what a coach says to a player is normally forgotten before the coach even finishes

I can see why you are coaching Ovingham, a one team club with this stupid post.
Wouldn't have me at your club for long with this mentality.

discipline is getting yourself to 2 training nights a week even when you dont want to..discipline is getting up on a sunday morning at 7.00am after a game to go down to the beach with the team..not because it may help you (which it will) but because its what is required as a team..one in all in..and no-one has brought this up yet..guys who cant train for whatever reasons, barring work, can still go the club on a tuesday night and show their faces..thats discipline..

This is not true, it has taken Mawson Lakes/St.Paul's Old Scholars a bloody long time and effort to get promoted. Division 7 needs more respect!

We all play football for different reasons and get different things out of it. I'm not one that thinks you have to win a flag or get promoted in order to have fun or get respect. Having a laugh with mates constitute the majority of my enjoyable football experiences.

Div 7, as much as some would like to pretend otherwise, is pretty much social football for many people. Myself included. Don't really think that is worth of derision, ridicule or lack of respect.

Nice work all. So far it seems Div 7 is full of mates having a go, personalities loving their clubs, players believing, coaches having faith, oldies inspiring the younguns and people with attitude. That is why we are who we are. Just love it.
