Smitham. May be a bit slow at the moment, but he is probably one of the best kicks in the comp!

Think he may have been injured over the pre-season and has only just come back. Still a pretty good player though. Should be right come finals !!

I hope you are not bagging No.3 Smitham. he bloody killed Modbury considering his unfit and slow like you think. He kicked 3.5 and is usually a good finisher. He wont miss those next time.
Plus we will have Clarke, Christofis and Tosold play the next time as they all played in the State Game so good luck.

I think he's a great player!!! If he can get fitter, will absolutely smash sides, as I said great penetrating kick, 50+ metres.

Districts will thrash Modbury next time they play. Back at their home ground and with players back, will kill them!! Can't really see it being anything but a Districts vs Seaton Grand Final.

Was that Modbury's full team? I heard they had a few out but maybe they were trying to talk themselves down? They obviously didnt have anyone playing in the state team.

I think that comment about him rating himself highly in a bit unfair then.
He does still play for Seaton, going alright by all reports.

As a person who use to boundary umpire when Smitham was playing Division 4 for his previous club, it would not matter how big he was because class is still class. He used to pick up 30 possessions without even breaking a sweat and in a lot of games that I saw was picking up 40 possessions on a regular basis. The guy is a great reader of the play and when he gets fitter will be back in the centre where he does some of his best work. Good to see he's doing well out there. Top bloke! :D

Two horse race for the Div 2 flag, I know it is not an outrageous comment but Districts and Seaton are more than head and shoulders above the rest; will be an interesting scramble for the other three spots...
