Brus sitting in a forward pocket requires no effort, no different to standing on the sideline watching, except you'll get a little colder and prob kick 5 a game :P

I agree. I dont think that the 3 teams I mentioned will get the numbers required for this year. Are you putting your hand up to help with tackling coaching Phantom?
Geoff has a very good footy head and im sure he will be on top of any weaknesses that they had last year with his recruiting.
Are you training at Ovingham. I wouldnt mind having a run with someone for fitness although not looking at playing.
He has asked me to come out and help, at this stage i have agreed to help but i guess that depends on whether i play at the farm or not. Yeah training at Ovies, but a hectic week this week so wont be back out there until next.
Come get some fitness... and sit in the forward pocket ;)
gee i would have thought with recruiting polky, there was your tackling coach right under your nose

your probably right. I would say he asked me since i am heavily involved in rugby league, have coached from 8s to 1st grade and work part time for the SARL.
Played hooker when i was a lot fitter  which requires making a million tackles a game.
So i guess i could help with technique more than anything.
Oh and Zedman, my answer to not making a tackle last year... do as i say not as i do, those who cant do coach :D

Looked like a very keen group of players tonight. Good numbers. Unfortunately only got to watch the warm up before going off to my training but look forward to having more of a look on Thursday and might even roll the legs over and have a kick. Great to have a little bit of a chat with Deeman before he put the lads through their paces.

First training for the new year at Glenunga.

About 35 people showed up to be punished by our fitness coach, but it was a good session. Some new faces & some old ones, now if we can get everyone out at the same time it will be good.

you are right mate but as the guys get to know what we are about and understand what we need to do i should be able to stand alone and drink a coffee and let you guys just get on with it
must admit last night was able to let the first three quarters of an hour go without the lads needing any instructions or my big mouth get involved but i do see your point
you will see the changes next time your out mate, that midfield spot is looking good for you
