Similar thing happened this time last year with Rosewater. They obviously ended up fielding teams, but struggled.

Theres was more of a financial situation though, i think. Surely if you were a past player/member you would be putting your hand up to help out, especially if it saved your club from shutting the doors.

I heard that The Jets have filled all committee positions with some extra on the side. Don't think you will see any problems down there, junior set up strong and now the seniors have numbers on board there should plenty being done.

No. His first name is Jeff, not sure of the surname. Always trying to flog us stuff at work like suncream or heat rub cream stuff, iceblocks you name it - he is annoying.

no Jeff wont be north havens trainer for 2008 and Lance gets his coke and schnitzel for his great services per week!!! by the way Lance makes more sence than Jeff most the time #-o sorry Jeff its true... North Haven are in discussions with one or two trainers [-o< hopefully sorted out sooner than later.. Drove passed Havens on wednesday night and Buzza & davo had near on 30 boys at under 18's training very impressive Aaron & Blake =D> =D> =D>

Lets hope whoever becomes trainer at Haven they are very knowlegeable in the heart area and how to treat heart related injuries :D

Are you involved at Unley, leftrightout, or did you hear that second-hand ?

Had heard they were having trouble but the pres put the hard word out and got support.

My mail was similar in that the reason they nearly folded is that the whole previous committee was dissolved and there was no experience in the newly elected committee (no continuity) and either didnt have or couldn't get the support they needed to run the club. That and poor numbers at training.

This might sound harsh, but FFS !!! There are a lot of clubs out there doing it a lot tougher than them, and they get teams on the paddock.

I dont know the details involved, but it all seems a bit p!ss weak. Cant get volunteers, then look for some !!! 8)

Not involved in the footy club, I got it from someone who is. They will be fine, they have experienced people in place with others learning off them throughout the season. They just needed a kick start to get going, ideally the committee would of been electedat the AGM not later as it did but they are up and going now. I don't think folding etc was on the cards but they needed some of their members to stand up and put in the effort to run the club, which they have now.

Maybe the threat of folding was just used to get people to get off their bums.

Im guessing by 'yous boys', you are talking about Portland.

You might want to check your facts before you associate Newman with us.

Why do you hope you play us early, by the way ? Will the cash have run out by the latter rounds ? :D

Also, who is Havens new high profile recruit that is currently trying to back out of his deal ? Want to shed some light Ouzo ?

Dear Sir/Madam moderators,
I am deeply offended by the avatar newman is currently displaying, you may not think much of it, but it is a CHEAP attack on my vanity.
I believe he should be made to remove this picture and serve no less than say a 24 month ban from this forum, not a long time considering the damage that has been caused through his childish behaviour.

Thank you in advance
