Matz was all class up forward in the last quarter.

A pity he didn't show that when he played at Seaton earlier but then again it is Div5 & as the coaches wife said Glacken has a better understanding of Matz than what anyone else has!!!!

The Dark Knight wrote:Smithfield over North Haven by 104 points today. It was a disgraceful performance by us, clearly our worst performance of the year so far. To put up a performance like that is very dissapointing. We has a handful of better players and the rest were simply passengers.

Can't take anything away from Smithfield though, they were super. Joss and the gang will certainly be very happy with their performance. And speaking of Joss, he played a super game, he certainly is a very, very good footballer. I have no idea why we didn't tag him- we clearly should of.

Well done to the B grade getting up by 4 points. From what I saw it was a very good game.
Also to the C's winning by 9 points against Flinders Park after coming from a 32 point deficit at three quarter time, well done. We now of course have next week off and I'm sure the lads will enjoy the break and come back fresh to face Blackfriars in round 10.

Lightning it was good to meet you, I'm sure you are wrapped with your A grades performance.

On more of a lighter note, I never been at a football match were at quarter time someone does a massive snakie down the road near the oval. That is something I never expected to see at a game and now I have.

We played very well, we were too quick, ran in numbers and had plenty of marking options up forward, you guys didn't have an answer for Chris James who owned the 2nd quarter.
I was very impressed with your tackle on joss in the 2nd quarter, not many players ping him for holding the ball, he has excellent evasive skills, I was equally impressed with your positive talking on the way off at half time, it's great to see such leadership skills from a young fella, well done and good luck for the remainder of the season.
Yeah, the coppers would have a field day if they camped out on that road across from the oval, young fella's can't resist the temptation when they see a big crowd as they drive past to do a bit of showing off, it certainly went for a while.

Have you been to any games mate.
Hectorville: Head and shoulders above the rest.
Brahma Lodge: Can be exposed, lost to Smithfield, still deserve to be 2nd favourite.
Elizabeth: Very skillful, a pretty old list though, will need to have a good run of injuries, lost to North Haven.
Hope Valley: Have only beaten the bottom two sides away from home.
Plympton: Have lost to Elizabeth(sort of) and BOS at home, and lost to Rosewater.

I'm not having a dig at you mate, although Smithfield and Rosewater haven't set the competition alight, they are still both very much in the hunt.
Away wins are going to be very crucial in the back nine, 6 teams fighting for 3 spots, if BOS string a couple together it will make it even tighter.

Without a doubt, I was just pointing out why some clubs would've thought Smithfield and Rosewater have been fancied to make the 5. I'd still have Lutheran right in the mix aswell, gee, you guys are costing me some tips.
I'm not knocking possum, I suppose my opening line suggests that, I thought he had ties to Kenilworth therefore he hasn't seen any div. 5 games, it is a very even competition as was suggested by all in February.

Rediculously even, great for the division. You could almost tip 4 upsets every week if you wanted to! Lucky i tipped the matilda's the other week to bolster my tipping. Sam Stozur cost me tho!

Thats the damning stat at the moment LM, and if we dont start beating sides on their home deck, like you mentioned in previous posts eluding to wins on the road, could be very costly to our position in the 5. Its also the manner in which we are losing on the road that is disheartning, we didnt even give a yelp in the brahma and heccies games and the final score in the elizabeth game probably didnt reflect their true dominance in the match

At least you are keeping your head above the water at home, you can't afford to drop one there though. We have to find an away win or two, we lost to Plympton and Elizabeth at home, both games we were in a decent position to take the points and got caught napping.

Thank god for that!

Nice oval for little fat blokes like me in C5 but it needs to be dragged about 15km closer to metropolitan adelaide!!

don't write us off just yet.
our skills let us down a fair bit on saturday but our effort and discipline were excellent. let them get away to a quick 4 goal head start within 10-15 minutes and couldn't peg them back.
reckon the call of relegation late in the last quarter was a bit early given that it is round 9, long way to go yet.
