Some big in's for plympton should be a cracker tomorrow go dogs

They'd want to get their act together the boys, coz a loss has them right back in the pack all looking for a double chance in the finals, then after the break is another tough one against the eag's at arg park, another loss there and i'd say it would be almost curtains.

Yep.

not sure if it would be curtains, but it would make things very difficult...

2 losses next 2 rounds = curtains. in my book.

I would be saying it for any other side in the same situation so there is no reason why i wouldnt say it about the team i support.

Hectorville - Plympton don't seem to be the team they once were
Elizabeth - Eagles will bounce back and belt BOS
Adelaide Lutheran - seem to have remember how to win and are picking up some form going into the 2nd half of the season
Brahma Lodge - in a cracker
Smithfield - although I was quite surprised last week

Leadership is one thing getting the players to listen is another! you need all players wanting to see their mates and the team succeed not just themselves!

Also sometimes a team can start to accept losing because it's only round 3 or round 9! i think you should be annoyed when you lose any game wether it is a team above or below you! Time to start playing every game as a final for plympton. scraping in to finals shouldn't be an option for last years prelim finalists

Should be a good game on Saturday with the Haven's riding high after an impressive win over the Eagles, our inclusion compliments our team plan and structure, we've got a pretty adaptable team no matter what mother nature dishes up tomorrow, good luck TDK, hopefully we catch up for a beverage.

Are you umpiring the B's mate? I'll come and say Hello if I can.

I told Beatle our B grade umpire to say hello, he said he might know you as he played against Smithfield for a long time and knows quite a few of the guys that used to play at Smithfield.

Round 9

Plympton vs Hectorville: Despite me thinking that Hectorville is a cut above everyone else atm I think they'll take a bit to adjust to not having Olsen up forward. It seems as though Heccies jump out of the blocks and blow the opposition away early and Plympton might be able to thwart this. Heccies still have plenty of other fire-power up forward though but the Red Dogs have too much on the line this week and i think they'll get up by 13 points in an upset.

Elizabeth vs Blackfriars: The Eagles will be pumped after last weeks surprise loss to the Havens, the heavy Argana Park oval will work in their favour with their bigger bodies. It wont surprise me if BOS do cause an upset here as they tend to travel well and have enough pace and stamina around the ground to wear opposition out. I'll go with the home side by 20 points.

Adelaide Lutheran vs Rosewater: Lutheran just seem to be humming along nicely gaining momentum each week and I can't see this week being any different despite Rosies handy inclusion. Rosies have a good balance of height, pace, aggression and experience but it wont be enough in the South Parklands this week, Lutheran by 35 points.

Brahma Lodge vs Hope Valley: The Lodge will bounce back strongly after last week's loss and the Valleys will find it difficult on the tricky Lodge oval. I wouldn't think too many Valley boys would've played there before and it take some getting used to with the wind travelling in all directions. The Valleys wont be disgaced though and will stay in the mix as a contender as I think the Lodge will get up by 29 points.

Smithfield vs North Haven: Can the Havens cope without cult hero Ty "Mad Dog" Duerden this week, I think not on a road trip out to Smithfield Oval. The Panthers are finding their feet and begining to adjust well to Joss' game plan and expectations. It should be an entertaining game with a lot of youth and pace on show, given the home ground I think Smithfield will have the edge for most of the game and kick away late with a few to stretch it out to 40 points.

Good Luck to all sides this week, I'm sure I'll end up with egg on my face with some of my selections, I had a mixed bag last week, one exacto but a couple of way off's aswell.

Great write up.

Consider yourself unlucky LM not being able to see the Mad Dog in action it's quite a sight. Unfortunately he's off to Rome very soon as a part of his Teachers degree I think. It's a big loss for us though, he has been playing really well the last 2-3 weeks and it's unfortunate he has to leave us. That won't stop from hearing about the adventures of Mad Dog one would think, I'm sure Super Steve will be all over it. ;)

Always a big loss losing a key forward, it's generally a good game between us two clubs, I recall a come from behind win that your 18's puled off a coule of years back at our ground, one of the best fightbacks I've seen, were you part of that, you seem like a young lad.

Good write up LM. HV last played there in 08, so not too long ago - probably half the blokes have played there - but very very tough game for teh valley boys - will need to be at their best to overcome the lodge.
