Bottom of the half the league of equal top.

Big three games against Salisbury North, TTG and Goodwood will let us know where we are.

Comparing each's results against ROCS you'd have to think SN are a 12 goal better side (although the game being played at Payneham would close that gap a fair bit).

SN only beaten teams below them (3 wins)

Comparing each's results against Henley you'd have to think PNU are a 6 goal better side (although the game being played at Payneham would up that gap up a fair bit)

It seems the henley formline is more reliable than the ROCS formline.

yea ROCs stay alive with an interesting win today

PNU put another big gun away, they really must be playing terrific footy out there (even without dow)

sharks looked to have had goodwood all day, but scores say the saints had 8 scoring shots to henley 1 point :?

Portland! their first div 1 win ever??

Portland were in Div 1 last year Marbles, they won 7 games in 2014.

PNU just seem to find a way to win. Down at 3 quarter time, an absolute gutsy effort by the boys to get over the line. Wasn't pretty footy, but sometimes you just got to play ugly footy to win. Huge game against the gullies after the bye, should be an absolute cracker. Milne v Cockshell in the ruck is sure to be an epic battle.

On a nice big Petaringa oval that should be a beauty.

Admittedly neither are Clint Dow though

We haven't had a lot to write about mate, Massive win for us on the weekend though with a heavily depleted side, had 3 lads debut ( 2 of them being under 18s) always a tight game when we play each other no matter position on the ladder, Fair to say Jezza wasn't a happy camper after the game,
Week off has come at a very handy time for us so after the by could have any were up to 10 A graders back available and attempt to get our season back on track

I see that Sammy Gruber has got a clearance pending to Tea Tree Gully from Gaza. Should add a bit of run and carry through the midfield and back half.

Im really looking forward to heading out to Perteringa this week for easily the GrassRoots game of the week when equal top placed TTG host PNU in the acronym cup. PNU will face its toughest challenge this year in its quest for a 7th straight win. I wouldn't have thought many if any would have had these 2 units in their top 3 albeit only round 8. TTG have had a good run with injuries and a sublime form line whilst The Falcs should get 2-3 back as well after a well earned week off and a quality bonding session at Gentlemans night in which "The Rex" stole the show from all reports.

Should be a huge day for some quality match ups and who knows how the magnets will fall. Some of the likely match ups may be ;
Cockshell v Milne - 2 form players of the league going head to head to give their team first use
Hand v Klemm - 2 sensational on ballers capable of owning the clearances and setting up multiple forward thrusts
Sandrey v Giannini - the rolls royces of their respective units
The dynamic duos of Melville and Bollmyer at one end and Langford and Jolly at the other could make it a shoutout

I'm tipping a huge crowd from 2 clubs with the equal biggest junior program's in the State and huge supporter bases. Parking the car around the oval to a full house and a big game of quality Div 1 footy. Maybe even a cuttla froths to ease the nerves. This one really could go either way and hopefully it's a close one. Logic would suggest TTG div one experience may give it the slight edge but PNU seem to be relishing the challenge of being doubted and have risen to every challenge. This one is harder to pick than a broken nose :)
