Well done to the Grovers, another good game against us. There's been a couple of rippers in recent years.

Was a good hit out, thought we were gong to have a bad day after the first two goals went your way but we settled down and came home that bit stronger. The games between us have always been fairly close and always played in pretty good spirits. I thought Brooks did a pretty good job as umpire to yesterday. Again we never want to forfeit any games and the guys from the D grade that were available feel your pain trust me. We still need to win all our remaining to take your third spot, as do you guys, any one drops one and it is gone. We have the easier run home now with all sides out of the finals race and you guys have Broadview in there so it will be close.

Brooksy did a good job for his first crack at umpiring. He's fractured his wrist so is out for 4-6 weeks which is a bummer for him. I think we have the job in front of us now, but the broadies game will determine it either way.
See you in the finals..hopefully ;)

Does suck for him, still time to get back for finals though. I think we will meet again at some stage over the finals, we would love that double chance. Getting a few key players back in the next few weeks will also assist.

What happened to Salisbury C grade last week? No disrespect to Mitcham but Salisbury going down to the bottom side after looking good to pinch 5th spot wouldn't of picked that!!

Broadview v Uni the only game in 8R, every other result is a forfeit, bit of a concern moving forward for this div i think.

Very different team from the first time we played them, I think our guys had the game won before a ball was bounced, then once we were down we just couldnt stop them. All credit to Mitcham as they were very good and if they play like that again they will beat some other teams. That ends our season and hopefully just cause a couple of upsets in the last two games.

Is that true? Crazy if it is. Our D's have the bye but would have had no issue filling a side despite the club having a shocking run with injuries this season.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Personally I think the Div has worked well for it's first year in this format. Is it just me or has there been an unusual amount of injuries this year? I know this has hit us fairly hard with our D grade having to forfeit the other week......I assume SMOSH in the same boat with injury toll having to forfeit this week?? Unfortunate to have more forfeits than games this weekend in Div 8R and not ideal for those teams trying to build momentum up for a finals charge.

That's a massive result! I suspect Smosh were low on numbers with ds forfeiting , but even still, didn't expect that.
PAC over Gepps by 20 goals.

Is a big result, Salisbury will be disappointed with the Mitcham game even more now, if they won that and got over the line against us next week good chance they would have pinched fifth spot, would need to beat us and have North Haven beat UNI now for them to have a chance with the bye last round. We had a 100 point win over Mitcham yesterday, good hit out and we are pleased to keep winning with all the injuries in the higher grades pushing players up. If all the guys in the A and B grade get fit we will have some headaches come finals!

Also slightly opens the door for Broadview to take top spot, cant see it happening, need SMOSH to drop another one I would think. Shows that this comp in Div 8 has been pretty even all season and no side is unbeatable on any day.

Some big games this wkend which will decide finals spots;

Prince Alfred v Broadview - A Prince Alfred win will pretty much guarantee them 3rd spot and the double chance. If Broadview win they will keep alive the chance to take top spot off SMOSH.

GG v Salisbury - If GG win and PAC loses GG will take 3rd spot and face Gepps X in last round. Salisbury needs to win and hope North Haven knock off Adelaide Uni to have any chance of making the 5. Salisbury have the bye in the last round and Uni face SMOSH.

Bring on Satdee!!!!

I am really surprised at this. SMOSH have had a D grade with seemingly a surplus of players for years now, and their three other senior grades are top. I can't believe they couldn't at least get a couple of ring ins for a week... Surely wouldn't be hard for a club like SMOSH.

The team who didn't forfeit can submit a team sheet and the players get credited a game if you need to qualify them

Yea assumed as much. Seems wrong to me that you can gain a benefit here... I mean maybe allow 14 on the forfeiting team's sheet, not 22!

You still have to enter a full team to be award the points for a forfeit. And most of the time a forfeit isn't called until Friday with teams being entered on a Thursday
