I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

SPOC would have to be fairly confident going into this weekend against PNU seeing as they only just lost last weekend to AU!

I heard they even had a shot just on full time to steal the win but were unsuccessfull.

Could they be a darkhorse this year?

Footy Smart, your coach mustve been pretty happy with the way he went on saturday (in a 9 goal loss), put himself as 3rd best player!

Pretty safe to say Jolly doesnt do the best players Lutz, they are done by coaching staff that are on the sidelines i believe. He was in a backline filled with a lot of younger players and held them together relatively well.

Exactly Sass, coaching staff do the votes and his job down back was pretty good after a limited pre season.

I'm surprised so many left Modbury with the appointment of a club legend like Jolly, anything in it ?

Not at all, i was good mates with the boys who left and it was more so they wanted to play at a higher level, i believe they had signed before jolly even got the gig. A couple have even expressed interest in playing under Jolly in coming seasons (just chatter, dont run with it).

To say we lost alot of players is a bit of over kill. Beau Jarman didnt play last year cos he did a knee round 2. Scotty Williams missed over half the year with work as well. Vandy is the only player that played most the year and we were winninng more games when we shared the goals then when he was our focal point. . Ryan Jarman also couldnt commit due to work last year. Losing those 4 blokes is not good for the side but we didnt really have them all last year anyway (apart from Vandy).

I can only speak for myself but the professionalism and passion buckets jolly has bought to the role is a breath of fresh air and apart from our horror start the boys have been pretty positive.

For someone who claims to be from Ovingham, you seem to spend a lot of time on the Div2 link slinging 5hit at everyone. I reckon you might have a case of multi ID syndrome and can't remember who you are.

Well if that is the case then, Modbury should be around the mark again this year then and should make finals it seems....

FWIW, we don't know who lutz is at Ovingham so for the moment let's not associate him with us...

on another note. I think it's smart that we come on here and keep up to date with Div 2/2R sides. especially for injuries, suspensions and other OUTS... this will affect the quality of the C grade's we are playing against...

ROCS C's had the bye last week, any word on how their 1's and 2's are travelling?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do
