New Era you are off the show and keep going off on random tangents... TTG aren't the only club with a lot of juniors using the oval... Just face the fact your oval can not cope with a bit of water.

Lets not forget that your juniors also use Bulkana

Remember you were given $2M so you could see the 2nd oval from the clubrooms ;)

that's pretty big news if true. i'd be doing everything i could to keep him if i were broadview. definitely their best player.

I think you'll find Scott will be playing the first half of the season, and hornhardt is training away with work, but will be playing for Broadview this year.

Are you sure of this? I heard from a very reliable source last night that Rian is not keen on the travel every weekend and will more than likely not be at Broadview this season

Facts Ash Man, very short on them, the juniors also use Bulkana and Memorial and Modbury also use these two ovals as second ovals in consultation with TTG. Wish we did get 2M, might of meant we could have got furniture. The oval does get very wet in winter, mainly from centre square in south-west direction which is where the slope goes. All ovals with cricket pitches get boggy in winter and Henley is no exception, irrespective of what others try and say. The fact that the hills face get twice the rain that the plains get is the real reason for our oval being so wet in winter. If Henley got the rain the hills face did, it too would be slush.

Anyway, not that I have entered this debate, I don't give a s..t because i don't watch TTG play football, just cricket.

Salisbury North would have got up by about 6 goals, after Port had a decent last quarter (3 quarter game)... They looked pretty good to me, pretty calm when they had the footy.

A 6 quarter trial played at Thebarton. A's and B's as such although Port Districts had much better numbers. Salisbury North won most of the contest all afternoon especially quarters 4 and 5 where presumably the A's were introduced. Late in the 5th Salisbury North would've outscored Port Districts by approx 12 goals to 1. Port Districts probably scored the last 6 of 7 in the last quarter albeit after Salisbury North had emptied their bench. I don't want to be disrespectful to Port Districts as I don't know their full line up regarding availabilty and injuries etc.... But looking at the game itself Salisbury North were more skillful and played a better stucture of football on the day. Rhys Clinton and a young lad named James Stones had a great afternoon. Solid Blonde curly headed skillful fella (nos 6) dare I say 'veteran' played well for Districts.
Salisbury North have had some big losses as far as some of the most skilled individuals to play the game,(Cutting, Jordan etc...) but it just allows some of the next crop to stand up.
Myself and good friend, another blogger "Lads" (yep you would've heard of him) have seen a fair bit of the Hawkers play over the last few years and maybe....just maybe Mr Tylor has a group that just might respond enough to keep being competitive.
Early days! just a trial game! all that sort of stuff, I hear yah! But I can only comment on what I saw tonight!

I seen probs 3 quarters in total, 2 of the 'B' grade game and the first quarter of the 'A' grade game and in all 3 of them Salisbury north were the dominant side!
One thing that was clearly noticeable was the numbers difference. Districts had 2 full squads of about 25 for the 2 3 quarter games while Salisbury North probs had a total of 35 players for both games.
Despite the numbers difference, Salisbury North from the quarters I seen were a much better drilled and skilled side, they worked harder and even though it was a trial wanted the footy more.

Did Henley play PHOSC in a trial at Max Basheer Reserve last night? If so, any one got a report?

Yes they did. Was a good hit out for both sides. 5 quarter game with A's and B's having a run.

So where am I short on facts?
According to TTG Council the total was $1.46M, sorry I was way out :?
And you agree that Bulkana is used

Showed the gulf between top of Div 1 and finalist in Div 2 but we had some competitive moments gave us an idea of what we are aiming at which was our whole idea of playing Henley in the first place.

Got the chance to introduce some of the lads that have come through our juniors and thought most of them aquitted themselves quite well.

Where are all the Goodwood Saints posters has the money and career moves reached the end and has the gravy train made its last stop at Millswood. Could it be a year where they fall down the ladder or further? Very quite out that way.

My spies tell me that the train line to the hills and down south has a few passengers on it and no one getting off at millswood station.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
