Can't blame him for having a crack at a higher level. He's a quality player. Would he stand out on the track at a div 1 club? I would have thought they'd have to see him in a game situation to see what he can really do. He doesn't look a likely type, but he can turn a game on its head and do some pretty freakish stuff...

probably not a bad idea for those two to try their hand at a higher level. probably bein held back a bit at a club like west croydon.

no offence but i cant see west croydon moving up the divisions anytime soon. besides those two players there isnt much else in terms of playing talent at w. croydon. players such as these to deserve to try their hand at a higher level, if they so desire. so has bryant definetely gone to gumeracha?

Bryant has gone yes. You cant deny players oppurtunities to play grades to an extent. I think if it were an sanfl club then go for it , but i also believe that clubs in "lower grades" that have younger good players that have come up through their juniors should be able to bank on them to pull them up through grades. No offence taken.

i heard last night at hope valley that the former b gr coach from heccies last year, antony basso is out there and prob will join his 20th amateur club. been renown for chasing premierships but with little or actually no sucess. seems to bring bad luck,,, prob one of the major reasons why heccies didnt make the gf last year( if you saw the prelim s last q last year , youll know what i mean) dont know where hell play. too old for A s, not good enough in an already excellent B gr so i guess 1 st ruck in the C s..... :o

you younger guys may not remember but west cr were in div 1 ten years ago and had some great players,,, mick adey dabs curls steve mcmahon and andy obst, but as time went on and with that many clubs down the port area it was always gonna be hard to stay at the top. they were once a strong proad club.. just looking thru the other sides in div 6, has anyone else played in div 1? prob not. dont worry about w croydon they ll still shape the five. just pointing out that at least they are still around.

As a coach, one of cabbage's best attributes is his stance on training. He expects the guys to all make training and he rewards the guys who put in the work. He will probobly put a few noses out of joint early but will end up with good numbers on the track as i've heard he has already. (30 plus at the snake pit would seem pretty f****ing good for Houghton!)
