Maybe this is a question I should ask GG committee, but our ground is fully fenced (which FC has said is a prerequisite) out at Harpers but is not utilised for any GF's. Do clubs have to apply to SAAFL HQ to host GF's??
This is not a crack at the clubs hosting just a curiosity. Am sure I can name other grounds that are fenced but not utilised. Just seems the same clubs get to host GF's each year, therefore the chance to earn extra $$$$.

This was the question I asked several years ago but was told no even if we put up a fence. So kept asking now with a change in operations at the league we have been granted a chance and are working very Bloody hard to make it a success.
Why should the same clubs get finals every year that was the original reason behind home finals. Every body gets a share of the money just not certain clubs. One club president at the time when home finals came in told me I was taking money away from his club by doing this. I advised that he had a self interest here and to look at the big picture more money going to other clubs is a good thing just because you have a fence shouldn't give you a monopoly on finals. Since home finals started finals attendance has increased as well as finals cash returns to the league. Every ones a winner

There will be a hell of a lot more than 100 cars heading your way. The council will have a field day around the streets if they want.FOURTH ESTATE wrote:We have plenty of parking FC our main car park holds at least 50 cars plus the hill on the outer plus behind the goals at the southern end which is more than most clubs I have been too. All up over 100 cars. Fair size I would have thought considering where we are.

I'm openly biased, but I agree with this.LaughingKookaburra wrote:Seen many grand finals and Salisbury, Kilburn and Kenilwoth in terms of atmosphere are very good venues.
