So who gets the money in the country leagues ?? People pay $5 a week to get in, does that go to the host club or back to the association ?? Pretty sure if I was asked to pay $5 a week and I knew it was going to the club I'd be happy to pay if it meant we could pay players what the country teams do...

In SFL the minor round $5 goes to the host club. In finals the money goes to the league.

Hills footy $8 throughout the whole year included finals! That includes the budget aswell! Pretty steep paying 15 beans to the GF I think!

So that means you pay about $160 - $180 per year compared to $15 to go watch your footy?

$15 for SANFL finals weeks 1-3 and you get 2 league games.

Would have paid $1000 to see my club win 2 flags on the weekend. Most leagues charge a hell of alot more than ours during the year. Stop whinging.

Easy to say that after the event. Fair to say you wouldn't have paid that much not knowing the results?

Was $12 at Kilburn saturday and it looked like the fee didnt deter people from coming.

The food situation was no good though, ran out of all hot food in canteen by half time and the bbq had a line about 50m long and wasnt moving to quickly.

So it went south out of the gate and into the carpark?

Went to another SFL Grand Final yesterday & once again the SFL showed up our own SAAFL.
Entry only $7 adults / children U/16 free & best of all $5 cans of beer, now thats the way to draw a good crowd & atmosphere.
To our SAAFL, its not that hard, its simple really, don't be greedy, make it affordable for all family's then everyone can have an enjoyable day like i had yesty.
The crowd was more than double, actually more like 3 times as big than our own Div1 GF.
It was a real eye opener speaking to the SFL President & other SFL officials after the game at the South F/C & back at Brighton F/C.
Well done to those SFL officials on a great day, they set a standard in local footy in which our own SAAFL should learn from & follow.
But will they?
I doubt it.
