Oh Dear!!! Its always nice to play the same teams as your A+B Grade does as it facilitates those boys at least taking some interest of the endevours of the lowest senior Grade. It also helps the not so intelectually gifted with the draw. Ive coached a couple of special space cadets who just could not fathom that the C Grade could possibly be playing a different club  Playing our C Grade in C1 will hurt our C Grade at several levels and i would think that we would struggle to be competitive in a lot of games. :?

having coached and played in both grades for many years, there's not a huge difference in standard between the two grades.
these divisions nominally follow the higher grades so blame your a grade mob for winning the flag... :)

We will give you a run for your money mate. We won 4 games last year and 2 of them were against Ovies (no offence) who were not exactly a football machine. Our other 2 wins were narrow victories over Gaza and Nth Pines where no doubt it was superior coaching that made the difference ;) Of our 12 losses there were a number of 20 goal beltings and maybe only 2 under 10 goal losses. C1 is not going to be good for us!

Draft draw says we (as a Div 4 club) have been put in C2.

If anyone wants to point out any logic to me they're more than welcome.

You need to be able to log in to iScore mate.

According to my draft, Port District aren't in C2.

At the moment, my C2 draft says:

Adelaide Uni
Broadview
Flinders Park
Gepps Cross
Golden Grove
Mitcham
Modbury
PAOC
Salisbury
SMOSH West Lakes

so there's no association between the c grades and upper divisions by the look of it.
weird that sides that struggled in c2 (eg spoc, walkerville and rocs) may go up to c1 while the flagwinner (flinders park) stays down...

Why are 2 div 1 clubs in c2 ? This makes no sense at all. Surely it isn't that hard to match the c divisions with the a grade divs. Of course some clubs have c and d grade in div 7 but this set up is ridiculous

looks like they're setting up pretty much division 8 and 8reserves with C2 and C6 having the same clubs. We must be going back up to C1 with PNU and other Div 2 clubs and existing Div 1 clubs with 3 teams

I would say that this newest saafl lower grade proposal has the potential to end up badly especially if they wish to have any consistency with upper grade teams of the same club. perhaps they're looking back at promotion/relegation for c grade sides again? It certainly stuffs up triple headers; I know that there's a full afternoon of games now.

I can understand that this measure makes game programming much simpler but there's generally a reason why teams are in c4 and c6 rather than c2; there's a marked difference in the levels as generally c grade sides of upper division teams have a better spread of talent. I fear that there's going to be massive gulfs between upper and lower clubs which in turn can lead to people dropping off (see ovingham/wingfield etc) and numbers of sides eventually declining.

I'd much rather see the correlation between the division 2 teams and c grade continue with extra teams such as uni filling in spots elsewhere so that byes can be avoided where possible.
