Probably wouldn't have known how much you paid then, could have been $75
It'd want to come with a set of lips for $75!

You were right FE with Colonel Klink getting his way. $10 entrance or $15 entrance for single individuals will not get many families through the gate and does not encourage people to go to the footy, let alone buy a drink and some food etc, etc. Only a certain amount of disposable income for many families. Think that Klink and Co. will find out as many people will vote with their feet and not turn up and or hop the fences and with that causing grief with security guards. Think it would have been easiier to leave at $6 or $7 and get more people at the footy and Klink and Co. would make more money back from the food and drink situation and have more families at the football. Single people it is OK but families a bit rich. This is nearly a 200% increase and just far too much in one installment IMO

Executive member, Can you please give reason as to why the prices are so high? Not askign for justification, just reasons.

Lets say div 1, 2 and 3 average out to 2000 ppl at each (div 1 bumping this up) for a 6000 total: Average cost of say 10 bucks (accounting for concessions/kids). $60,000. Do the SAAfl run the bars at te SANFL grounds? At thebby? IS this how much they cost to hire? 60,000 dollars is a good chunk of money. It can buy Triton ute, a hosue deposit, or Kenny Mcgregor for half a season.

Basically I'm wondeirng whether this is a money making venture for the SAAFL, or it is a celebration of amateur football.

I will be going to the c6 GF, and most likely head to richmond after. One is for my club, and one is not. I'm a student so yes my admission fee is cheaper, but its also means less $$$. WHat if a couple of my mates wanna come along? DO you think they'll be happy at ten bucks a pop? COnsidering you can't take an esky in, its a bit rich for amateur footy.

Stuff it, I'm jumping the fence.

Unfortunatley that is what just about everyone you speak to is doing, which is not good for the League or their image. Really smacks as a Cash $$$$$$$$$$ Cow

Would be no need for Weslo if common sense prevailed and people are never afraid to put their hands in their pockets to fork out what they consider a reasonable fee for anything, including entrance fees BUT when they see they are being had, they will vote with their feet and I fear that means jumping fences. Bring it back to a reasonable entrance fee and then you would not have to shell out the exhoribitant costs for security guards, which also is an unpleasant experience for everyone, including the security guards. Perhaps put the Executive on the gates or patrolling the grounds themselves, as they made the decision on entrance costs and let them see the reaction of the average person.

I think there has to be a little given each way...

$15 entry, eskies allowed
$5-$7 entry, no eskies

Would get a lot more people through the gates to see the game and cheer on their boys

Last year we asked if West End would be supplying cartons of beer to the premiership teams after the game as previously. I was told that it wouldn't be happening in D2. We then asked if we could bring in two cartons then for the players after the game. We were told no but we could buy them off of the league on the day.

After the game I went to collect the cartons and was told that it would cost me $120.00 for two 30 packs of Tooheys Extra Dry I nearly fell over I expected $75 maybe but not $120.00.

And they wonder why clubs get upset.

AND THEY WERN'T EVEN COLD

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

We had 2 GFs at Hope Valley last year

The Weslo staff told me they had both only finished work in town at 8am and pretty much came straight to the ground after having something to eat

They took it in turns of sleeping in the car and "couldn't be bothered" searching cars

Money well spent

No wonder the average supporter thinks we are treated like fools - that is disgusting not to allow the Grand Final teams 2 Cartons in to drink after the game (Win or Lose) - you just keep hearing horror stories each week either here or at your Club or at other Clubs and that just adds to it.
