I no that, but after the game now with iscore you can look at all the scores. Takes away a bit of the fun!!

Then dont look at iscore and read the paper like in the old days? Maybe im not old enough to appriciate that in the good old days you had to wait for the paper to get the results.

I look up the results on iscore on Saturday night, but I also look forward to reading (with a cuppa) the results in the Sunday Mail seeing who got in the best players and who kicked goals.

Nothing better in the old days getting the Sunday Mail at 5-6am in the morning and trying to read all the scores with one eye while you eating a fast food!! to soak up some of the alcohol!

I have sat on the front lawn to catch it on the first bounce many a time!

I have also been sucked into buying it at the casino at 4am. I still forget that its the early edition that has no scores in it!

You got to hate that when you get the early edition and no f------ scores!!

That's because THE CLUBS are paying for it, they don't need to do as much advertising to pay for it all...

Sorry D , I'll correct you there - they DO need to do as much if not more advertising to pay for it, as the Footy News is a far more expensive excercise than the Budget - and if advertising budgets aren't met this year, there will be many questions asked at the AGM as this was done on the precis that it was going to pay for itself.

Just browsing the site, does anyone know how the 'best players' of each grade are worked out? Is it only on newspaper results or reporter votes??? Haven't seen it before this year.

It appears to simply add up the iScore voting. Each club puts in their 5 best players with the best getting 5 votes,4 for second, etc, etc

Its currently coming up with the following message in the best players area

Best player information is currently displaying for the entire season, not by round.
We are currently correcting this issue. Sorry for any inconvenience.
