BOS will prove you wrong. A team that lost 9 games by under 3 goals in div 5 and the game i saw against hectorville when they were very undermanned were more then competitive and should be top 2 again in div 6

Wow wow wow my point was the near misses prove they could match it in div 5 with most
Teams. which comes to my point, right them Off at ur own peril. They will finish top 2. You win half those 9 games they stay up showing luck wasn't on there side this year, it will be this year

what gives you that feeling WLF?..i need some good news :)

hounds: maybe if you had stayed at bos they may have grabbed a few more games from the 9 they lost in close margins? ;)

and they werent equal to the other sides..thats why they lost those 9 games..they were 2-3 players down on what is required to win enough games to stay up..the loss of parish which i cited at the start of the season is a great example..if he had played this year you would have grabbed back 2-3 of those games i reckon..he is a match winner in div 5/6..after saying all that i still expect them to be finalists in 2011 for sure..

and PG, arent you meant to be in the div 7 thread now? :)..just joking mate..good luck next year..bounce back up.. :)

HAHA not so sure about that zeddy? Parrish was a big loss no doubt about that but in 09 we managed just fine when he wasnt available. It looks like the outs were more then what they could handle, although i didnt expect them to be relegated!

Agreed.

We only beat them by 8 points and 1 point this year. That's not an indication of how they'll go next year, it's just a fact. Having said that, I believe they will be top 3 in Div 6 next year...

Just know of some early rumblings of some possible inclusions.

Looks like my earlier mail of lads off to Plymton etc has backfired, the lack of a coach that way yet probably doesn't help either.
Still October though :D

I would say at this early stage your ladder probably wouldnt be very far off the mark! I'll go the same except i think TOS and Kenilworth will prob finish higher, CLG mid pack.

i personally reckon BOS and Nth Haven would have to improve a fair bit to be considered a top 3 side imho... NH relied on 1 person to much and BOS didn't really have any stand outs... However saying that, i REALLY hope they come straight back up to D5 and prove me wrong because i have the up most respect for both clubs.... Prove me wrong please...

Yeah I hope it's pretty close PG!

Do you mean Eagles WUB12? We didn't rely on him as such, I think it just the fact that you noticed him before any other player out there cause he is bloody good and he stands out like dog balls!

I hope we can prove you wrong mate, we're going to work our asses off so we can.

Pardon my ignorance, how many years ago was CLG in Div 5 and have they always been at the pointy end of the ladder in div 6 for the past couple of years?

And WLF are you playing for a Div 6 club next year or are you still at Marion for season 2011?

Can a bloke not take a vetted interest in other leagues without getting asked where he is playing? ;)

CLG were in Div 7 in 2007 won the flag.
2 years in 08 and 09 of dominating minor failing major.
2010 probably slightly under previous years.

It's surprising to see North Haven this low, and could see them having a good year.
I'd imagine the two teams coming up from D7 would be stronger than the bottom two this year aswell.
I would think Henley would be a much tougher team to come up against in 2011, with the players being better for the experience in D6, and from what i've heard a few fairly talented pick ups.
Trinity, CLG and Kenilworth will all be around the mark again also.

Agreed Lutz, I can see season 2011 will be a tough and pretty even contest in Div 6. I think both teams coming down and coming up can make some real inroads in the grade. Henley, helped by their A grade winning the Div 1 flag, will atract some more players to their club i'm sure and as much as it pains me to say it they could be around the mark. IMO CLG will be the benchmark and the pace-setter earlier in the year.

wont be lockleys at this stage after losing Micko and Corbett plus a few others undecided apparently. The wheels just fall off every time when the club start to look good and then go backwards again. long road ahead now

which players would you be referring to? wouldnt be harvs i dont think from what i hear hes pretty happy down south and had a great year last year. cant think of too many more that would have played in the last flag that arent still around the club?

and of course we'll be recruting we probably were two or three good players off a GF last year so we need to really push for that this year
