That isnt the reason, we were down to 8 players for this week with people unavailable due to work and some niggling injuries, plus the Bs had to take some players as they were short.

hardly an excuse to miss a game of footy

I knew this would happen. Very disappointing - considering we traded our home game earlier in the season.

Can understand your disappointment but if you haven't got the players available then it's hard to field a side. I'd like to think Kenilworth has a pretty good image within the league in terms of its integrity on the field so I'm certain this decision was not met lightly and the club would also have to pay a fine. Also Kenilworth and Elizabeth have been good rivals in the past so it would by no mean any disrespect. If I could I'd play!!

WB didn't Plympton forfeit last year in the c's?

Felt sorry for Kenilworth's runner who turned up expecting a game.

Cause I like stirring up KFC ;)
Seriously though I've only seen each team play once... Both sides were a rabble (just my opinion, and I know KFC had a shocker week leading up to their trip to the kennel), but hearing the reports from the 2nd time we played each side, fitzroy didn't improve much, still keen to go the body and not the ball, but KFC improved quite a bit.. So my proper tip, bein that it's at panther park and not at that disgraceful oval at fitzroy and the fact KFC will be to good.. KFC by 23 pts... But unfortunately for the kookas it will be the only win they have in this final series...

Hectorville by 6 goal. We let them away in the 1st quarter then the weather really set in and we couldnt get back in it. Look forward to seeing them in Prelim on a dry deck hopefully ;)

Take nothing away from Heccies they deserved to win yesterday. But on a dry deck not a swamp in torrential rain definatly suits our young fast runners who we really rely on to drive it to us old blokes ;)

Heccies were stronger around the packs on a wet day and too good.
But it is finals football and you'd expect them to be very strong around the packs anyway.
Doesn't help that we let their outriders sit out the back of packs for cheap handballs.
Umpiring was interesting - sadly the one who injured himself was the good one and not the one trying to assert himself on the game.
We had plenty of opportunities to score and at times controlled the game but they were better at converting their chances.
Well done Heccies. But don't write us off.

And number 23, WADH.
