Henley- Eagles
Districts- Port (obvious one)
Gepps- North

any others???

Scotch - Sturt (hurt Scotch very badly when the u17 & 19 format was changed to u18)

All I've said on here about the recruits that are informative for this site, is that they will strengthen henley's side.

p.s remember Kenny costs no points as he's a henley junior.

We've got a few more guns boys so we can afford to start pre-season a bit later than everyone else! I've said it before and i'll say it again...and effin strong line up doesn't translate into an effin strong team.

And Goodwood start even later. What's your point about preseason training? But you are right about one thing, old adage always applies, a champion team will always beat a team of champions, as Goodwood have proven.

As I just stated shobtob, The only thing i have done is talk about the recruits that have STRENGTHENED henley, which is what you just quoted me as saying. Thats an effin strong lineup doesn't transend into, "We are the best team going around and we will smash goodwood to pieces!!!" Saying our coach doesnt think we need to start as early as last year doesn't transend into "We are the best team in the comp so we will start training later than everyone else!!!" So i think it must be outsiders pumping henley up, not us, as i said before.

Fair enough to defend your club, we all know what Henley are like though so there's no need to go into this any further. Talk all you want about recruits and how they have strengthened your side but we've heard it year after year...by the time you guys win a flag you will be known as the Henley Eagles? Gotta love the silly season

What would you like me to talk about it? I discuss what I know about my club which is what this site is all about. Sharing information about what is going on in division 1. Everyone including us knows goodwood is the team to beat. And it seems we're getting closer ;)

Not sure that's correct, according to Pete Smith. Of course, minds can be changed as Pete often tends to do.

Goodwood are linked quite heavily with West from memory.
Not sure who links up with Centrals & Norwood. Glenelg affiliates with Brighton in the SFL I think...

playon we finished the year 13-5 mate so lost 5 in the home and away. We lost to the two teams that got relegated yet beat goodwood twice and TTG twice. We were prone to mental lapses which is where Goodwood beat us in the end. There's no doubt that when we played are style of running footy the chances of the opposition winning was very slim because of our skillfull players. Goodies were smart, and closed the game down in gf. Stoppage after stoppage we couldnt get our run going. Their bodies were too strong around the footy.

They lost both minor round games they played against Gepps Cross who in turn lost their 2 minor round games versus Port District and 1 against ROC's. Depends entirely on the day, you never lose your ability, only the player's mindset and luck play a big part in how the game pans out.

I reckon that is a pretty good summation Combuster, Goodies are experienced and do their homework on the opposition especially when they are playing in a GF.

If you compare last years GF to this year they played a completely different game. Although last year Salisbury North were saying that Goodies were too old and too slow but they proved that wrong.

You've always had a big opinion of yourselves down there.
The last couple of years i would of thought the cup was in your hands way before you played finals.
Well that was the talk around the club when i was around the place.
Looks like with the new points system coming in in 2 yrs time the Sharks are positioning themselves really well approaching current league players to give up their ambitions of playing League & get back onboard at Shark Park for a flag in Div1 Amateur League. ( sign now & it won't cost us points in 2011 )
Very very selfish if you ask me but nothing surprises me down there.

for all the henley people out there, make sure that in the future you guys don't recruit ex juniors to play at your club. especially those who have played league football (because that would be selfish). also make sure you don't pay your players. just let potential recruits go off to your opposition and let them become stronger than you. also, don't ever talk about possibly winning a premiership or making that your goal for the year (like most sides do) because you haven't won a grand final in div 1 for a while and you are apparently chokers.
in order to satisfy a few of the mongaloid posters we have on this site, make sure you pay attention to this.
do these things, drop down a few divisions (roughly to where seaton are sitting), and then maybe guys like NM and others will get off your back ;)
