well it may be sooner then one thinks!
nah nothing against Hope Valley, just saw the opportunity and pounced. i think hope v were worthy of going up to div 5 from the footy i seen last year. I think they will do reasonably well up there aswell

They were certainly pretty good last year, with some good young players. Certainly a few extra big blokes will help their cause! Reckon they will be up there!

and i have heard there picking up some blokes 6'1 ish which will be handy for them! They were really good last year, except there last 3 games of the year...maybe got a bit ahead of themselves but i think being a young side they will learn!

6'1 is is barely tall, they definately did lack tall players last year and but were very good at home

so im classified as tall then?? as im 6'2
6'1 is still a fairly tall person considering there are not alot of ' giants' in the amatuers...i.e. 6'8 + in the lower divisions

pretty tall then i gather :) can be some debate on if you can have a 'to tall' ruckman tho, taller ruckman arent that good in running usually and can bring a running side down, but can stop things in backlines etc. anyone want to add ??

He's 6'9. Wins a lot of taps. Will only get better with more experience too

well IMO you dont see many 6"9 ruckmans in the lower division of the amateurs. obviously there are exceptions as stated above but is it beneficial?? he may win the taps but other ruckmen may dominate against him around the ground n run him off his feet? but at the same time he could have numerous taps to advantage that are priceless! 'either or' a 6"9 ruckman would b welcomed into all division 6 sides thats for sure..

agreed can work to a teams favour but on the other hand it cant, might be better for a 6'4 - 6'6 ruckman that can at least keep good running pace well thats my view anyway

agreed! eg: a jared brennan style ruckman has been used in the AFL all be it extremely rarely but even at the highest level, running ability can sometimes count more for a ruckman then the ability to tap the ball. because at the end of the day if ur constantly losing the ruck taps, ur on ballers can read the ball off the opposing ruckman

correct that worked in my favour last year with plympton as im 6'2 and didnt win many clear taps, but made a contest out of it and made up for it around the ground with running and ground clearences . YES WAS TOLD BY MANY OPPOSITION TEAMS WHY AM I RUCKING,

Browny

Who were the 3 18 year olds that signed last night at The Lodge

Will a certain Division 1 Club not be happy that the are gone?

I also heard that your B Grade coach fell through - Why?

yes thats my point. and as a ruckman knowing your going to lose the taps, u can still have an influence on where the taps go. your can be a defensive minded ruckman in the ball ups, protect an area and make it near impossible for the opposing ruckman to tap it there. therefore giving your onballers a greater percentage on knowing where the tap of the opposin ruckman is going to go. Winning the taps is not the be all and end all! being a dominant ruckman around the ground is more important IMO
