congratulations to the Brahma Lodge Football Club,Carey Payne and the Players on your win today. Way too good for us on the day and you have been the standout side all season. To the Hope Valley supporters sorry we let you down today, but upon reflection we have got the footy club into Div 4 for the first time since 1996 with a very young group. There is so much up side to this group, good times will come, once again sorry for our performance today.

interesting rumours of macca leaving pnu and heading to the valleys next year. if he did would he take the hope valley boys of Lowe, Highfold(curtis) and rowett with him?

Can Hope Valley afford him? If he's not at Payneham next year I'm almost certain he will go to country. Had a huge offer from a Gawler team last year of 35k+. Big loss for payneham if they get rid of him and massive pick up for valleys if they can afford it
Also congratulations to Brahma, can't believe how good they are and commiserations to Hope Valley - all the best next year

Helps when the team list was most of a A1 side last year ;) haha
But hey well done to Carey for attracting that calibre and got the result they wanted after a few years trying.

So a D5 side could beat a D1R side then ;)

Yes....

BL with the side they had would beat some div1 reserve sides...They certainly would have when Eastern Park played div1..

And congrats to Payney and the boys whom most I have known and coached since young kids including the coach...Great to see you got your rewards Carey... :ymhug:

Well done to the Brahma Lodge FC on an outstanding win, Payney is very lucky to have the guys he has running around in a div 5 (now div 4) side, if they all stick around they should do well in div 4 next season also.

Well Done to all at Hope Valley for making it to the last game of the year. You had an extremely tough run to the GF and you have made all the supporters proud. Good luck in Div4.

Congrats to BL on a awesome 2nd half, a well deserved win.

Was a great game by Brahma totally out played Hope Valley from about the 5 min mark. Hope Valley in the first 5 mins wasted opportunities could've kicked the first 3 or 4 and who knows? But after that Brahma just ran away with the game and very well i must say.

Great team effort although i was seriously dumbfounded when i seen Aliossi not in the best  He kicked 6 and i reckon he set up at least 6 or 7 goals i thought he played an awesome game. I also thought 10 was very good for Brahma and for mine #1 from Hope Valley played well when he was taken off Aliossi. #7 worked hard all day.

Timmy aloisi was a very good player, and for 4 qtrs. I had him in my top 5, however after such a team performance I reckon you could ask 5 others and get different top 5's. Savage (10) was very good, I thought batesy at chb would have been close to the medal but in the end who cares, they all got the medal that matters.

Before the b's kicked off, and especially after the first qtr, I was thinking how far for havens. What a comeback by Luthies, they were harder and tougher for longer and after finishing minor premiers, probably got the result they deserved. Well done to both sides.

AL was just better when it counted it that last quarter after we lead for three and half quarters. I'm so disappointed, was very hard to answer the guys at work today that asked how we went Saturday telling them that we lost.

I was so surprised when i saw the game unfold. AL got the run on and NH just couldnt stop it. I thought NH were going to win comfortably but i guess this is one good thing with a GF as anything can happen.

No Newman from Westminster in the team of the year ?? Rated him along side Clark as the best midfielder in the comp.

Well done Brahma Lodge. The best team in Div 5 and worthy winners. Simply outclassed and outplayed us on the day

For us, the pain of that defeat will linger on. But hopefully it will drive the boys during pre season to come back bigger and better next year. To gain promotion (when we weren't really the 2nd best side during the year) and with such a young squad - is a credit to Charlie and his playing group.

Good luck to all the teams in Div 5 next year, especially Glenunga who helped secure a double chance for us back in Round 18 :D

Apparently being 6ft 6inch and doing **** all during the year gets you a gig in the TOTY (albeit on the bench) Tom Lipson really?

I reckon Hosie has snuck his love child in??????

Obviously every player can have up and down days...even quarters... But the best FF I stood all year was Lippo imo. Maybe his knee didn't hurt those two days :P Only played against Brahma the once and Clark-Rantasa had 45,000 inside 50's to feed from.
