Now H4AG I actually recon the Dee Man is a great unofficial supporter of "The Lock&Keys" and he did give credit where credit was due last week. I found his appraisals quite honest over the season unlike many of the others who always throw s%$t and never have anything positive to say about anyone excluding their own club.

But Hey....that's all history now! We have a whole new world of Boggers to banter with...Ohhh and a GRAND FINAL to play in.............
I wonder what those other guys will be doing this weekend? Oh that's right NOTHING!

I'm amazed you guys were even there. Whoever gave TOS the rights to host a prelimfinal should be shot. Absolute joke, cold food, no facilities, $5 to park your car & the only reason the beer was cold is because it was about 3 degrees anyway.

Giffo, I'm disappointed to hear that u had such a terrible time yesterday. I know there were dozens of TOSFC supporters that did a 12 hour day yesterday setting up the facilities... Ie extra BBQ next to the lockleys supporters, temporary shelters and toilets etc. Obviously we can't control the weather. I know from working on the BBQ near the Lockleys supporters that most of the food was sold by the start of the A grade game, most of which was actually bought by your supporters, many repeat customers. I know from the many I spoke to they were very appreciative of the proximity (Quichy this means near) of the facilities from where they were. We would have loved to serve beer at that location as well, but alas we were not permitted a liquor licence to do this.

In all, every measure was made to make the game for both teams supporters comfortable as possible, to be honest I think it's the worst conditions I have ever watched any sporting event in. We suffered a lot of damage to our shelters which will have to be replaced at the cost of a few thousand dollars.

Quichy, in rebuttal to your comments on Friday about our ground lacking atmosphere, and I mean this with all due respect, but Houghtons games at Trinity in the last two seasons (particularly this year)have been thrashings! It's hard to get a great atmosphere when the games are one sided, particularly when the majority of our supporters are not derogatory to a team that is, for the better words 'getting smashed'.

But finally, all the best to Lockleys and West Croydon this week in the A's and to Kennilworth and Lockleys in the reserves.

The atmosphere at HDFC is great regardless of the score and your supporters are no better or worse than any other club in Div 6.

Continue to be condescending, it doesn't make me look like the wanker.

Quichy, I do apologise, that does sound very condescending. I just find it frustrating that we (TOSFC) always have to defend our facilities. I think they are of a good standard. While yes the away team has to walk/jog a couple of hundred meters, I don't think it gives TOSFC any advantage. And toilets for spectators are also a bit of a walk at present, but we are constantly in consultation with the school and looking to improve the situation.

I must be getting bored without footy and took it a bit far.

Wasn't initially so much a criticism of your ground etc, just a stab at the league who set a whole bunch of guidelines to follow regarding hosting finals, but in the end only care about beer sponsorship deals as the make or break decision to host one.

Exactly. For years the Finals were all played at netural grounds and thus costing the League money. Now all it depends upon is who has the most cash and who sells a particular Beer. Surely the Players and Supporters should be looked after as well. Sure there has to be some form of Sponsorship deals etc, etc and we would be stupid to believe this is not a requirement, but at some stage the needs of the Players and Supporters will superseed these needs.
