Totally agree with you Q,Adelaide Lutheran to me were a touch more talented but it shows you need more than that to win games....from what i saw today Hope Valley wanted it more than Lutheran just harder and tougher at the ball..and i would not be surprised if they upset lodge next week even though lodge will be heavy favorites ..but grand finals are a 50/50 contest in my opinion....!!! :D

I reckon Lutheran were the more even side with more options around the ground but they were given two opportunities to knock Valleys off and couldn't do it so it's hard to dispute that the better team ended up going through.

Well done Valley's, we will have to find someone else to annoy now.

Also I will be going for them on Saturday.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Our boys were just awesome today! Certainly don't have the all round talent and class of some sides but just play with an enormous amount of heart and courage, which is a reflection of how Charlie coaches. Will have to lift to another level to be any chance next week, the Lodge are a very good side. But I rekon they just may have been more comfortable coming up against Luthies as opposed to the Valley Scrappers!!
We are a drinking team with a football problem!

Wouldn't say scrappers, definitely a class side just thought Luthies were more of the finished article

Macca's name gets linked with Hope Valley every year from a wide range of sources.

However, Charlie Wintle is the current senior coach of the HVFC and the committee will make a decision on 2013 once the season concludes and we sit down with him to discuss next year. We have done this every year for the 6 years Charlie has been coaching us.

Fingers crossed, that whoever coaches us next year will be coaching a Div 4 side.

On a side note, good luck to the U16's in their Grand final against Salisbury @ Argana Park 2.00pm Sunday. Another crop of exciting kids coming through the ranks to add to all the youngsters that played A's and B's this year. Go Demons!!

just got home from this game, both teams some very good juniors, i know a couple of salisburys u/16s played A grade this year, Hope valley had some that looked very good as well. (#49 & #33) not short on confidence either when #33 kicked a good goal right on half time siren, then flipped the bird to salisbury bench and wanted to punch on with the crowd. Very good hard contest and nothing dirty. Both teams were very good. Salisbury just a few more better players and deserved the premireship having gone through undefeated.

They have cancelled the D5 GF so there's no chance Lodge can win a premiership.
HV have enough already.
