I watched Hectorville vs Brahma Lodge yesterday. IMO, West Croydon would have been very competitive with these two sides this year.

Fair call. Always hard to compare teams in different divisions, but from what I have seen West Croydon will be ultra competitive in Div 5 if they play like they have this year. Based on the last 4 years all Div 6 teams that have been promoted have done very well in their first year in Div 5. In fact, I believe they have all made finals with a number going straight up to Div 4.

I'm kinda wondering how Trinity OS qualify for a home final given their almost non-existent facilities.

Many planning on making the trek down there?

Lockleys and Trinity road trips 'six to one and half a dozen of the other' for me.

Reckon I'll drop in at Harper's. Should be a cracking atmosphere there.

division 5 is much a harder competition than 3-4 years ago..there are no easy games and 2 reasonable teams will be relegated again next year..i expect BOS and NHFC to be very competitive in div 6..and WC and its grand finalist will have to recruit again and be on the ball every game to make the finals..

spot on. we only beat blackfriars by 3-4 goals both times and we had to work for it. looking at div 6 last year, you knew glenunga n central united were easy beats and mitchell park were off their game for most the season. ade lutheran finished 7th in div 5 and they had some quality players. IMO heccies team this year would be around 10 goals better than last years team. im sure WC will have plenty of time to think about div 5 over summer, they still have the biggest game of the year to play.

Marvelous what a huge cash injection to a club makes, budget to buy players, support staff, etc, pay existing players, which all equals climbing the divisions and sustainability. Compared to CU operating on a povo pack with players playing for the love of the game, mates and club and enjoying themselves, but can only go so far.

Always get turkeys at every club that don't think about their actions and how it reflects on the majority. CU have done it hard over last couple of years and didn't really start well this year, good luck to them to turn it around, they do deserve to go all the way.

Luthies actually finished 8th!! We finished 7th. Div 5 was a tough comp this year. I believe BOS will be top 3 next year and won't stay in Div 6 too long...
