That combined with the 294 point demolition last week leads me to believe that Para Hills will be very keen to bounce back against their arch rivals. I heard they only had 15 which makes it real tough but full respect to them for not pulling the pin and taking the forfeit loss. =D>
Due to the fact i have had dinner at Para Hills and the entire Knowles clan was there as well leads me to believe your anticipated hype may not be as vicious and malicious as some might think.
Tough call though tonight. Pies v Swans at the Tavern or Hills v Farms at the Paddocks :D

Dont know about arch rivals, its been a long time since Ingle Farm have been in our league. Even when they were they couldnt blow wind up our arse. Good to see they are finally trying to get out of the lower leagues.

Come on Fred. We are a couple of Km's apart, Last time we met in a division there was a few IF people that were at PH, and now we meet again and we have had nearly 20 clearances from PH to IF in the last 2 seasons. I'd say thats a bit of a rivalary right there, wouldn't you. ;)

From the word around PH, it seems that IF think this is much more of a grudge match than PH does. Still should be a good game... make sure you look for PG in his slacks looking all professional though

  WOW this would be the 1st time the shit talking hasnt come from me!!

I dont see this as a grudge game, no one in the C grade except Lane is from Para Hills or has any idea about any rivalry, nor do they care. I do see this as a danger game for us though and one we must win.

Oh and Creedy yes i'll be in my slacks lol, i'm almost home from work and have to leave straight away!

Great win by the Farmers tonight. Good to see such a large supporter base out in the cold weather supporting the lads. Zac Hancock is a star !

Credit where credit is due - i thought Para Hills were really good tonight, committed, tough and some smart footballers. On the verge of half time i seriously was worried. It was a tough slog in the 1st half and very few goals were kicked, but i think the fitness of our side shone thru in the end.

Zach was good tonight after kicking 1.5 in the first half, but praise must go to the rest of the side who worked hard, stuck to structure, played selfless football and gave Zach every opportunity to capitilise.

May not have had some big % boost like Lockleys but happy to just collect 2 pts. We still weren't full strength which was pleasing to see some young guys step up and work hard.

Scoreboard doesn't reflect adequately how tight and tough the game was!

I watched the full game today between FUFC and CLG. The difference at Half time and three quarter time was about fiive goals with the end game being 8 goals. The CLG CHF and FF played key roles in keeping the game close. I was surprised to see CLG play loose men in defence from the first bounce.

On the whole, it is good to see two sides field "new" C grade sides. Well done to both
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Lokleys over MP. Big surprise , great win for the Dees to put them
In the top 3. I think this Div is going to throw up a lot more "big surprises " before the year is done

Really? I thought we were always going to be up against it. Lockleys have been in good from. Our named team on paper Thursday didn't match the final side on the Saturday morning with a few late withdrawals across all grades hurting the c's perhaps the most.

Lockleys were a very fit unit when we played them, played with good structure and yes have been in very good form.

I thought MP side looked good on paper - obviously didnt know about the late withdrawals, and I thought Lockleys might've become a little complacent after their lazy day out against PH, i think sometimes it's hard to get up for a tough game after a very easy game like they had.

Would take a brave man to predict a premier or even grand finalist at the moment i think - PNU still well ahead and raging favs but think there have been glimpses this season of sides closing the gap. Despite the result, I still have Mitchell Park 2nd in the pecking order, followed very closely - if not equal - with Lockleys. TOS are sitting 2nd and beat us but I honestly felt the PNU, MP and Lockleys looked far more potent across the board.

Wouldn't rule Pulteney out of making a big charge to the finals, and Glenunga are also not far behind!

I'm too scared to lose any games

Our side could fluctuate by as much as 20 goals week to week. Only need to look at myself! I played A's (well, I attended the game on the field wearing a uniform) against CLG, went on a holiday and then played C's this week. Others would experience similar. The fluidity between our 3 sides is greater than other clubs I think.

I reckon our absolute best side could beat PNU, our absolute worst side would lose by 100 points. Just depends on availability, injuries and ... whether or not our B's are playing.

Yeah our side is a bit like that, we average about 10 changes per week. Don't think we have been full strength yet, vs Lockleys was probably the closest to full strength at a guess without looking at the line up.

Biggest challenge for us is closing the gap between the best line up and the worst, important to do that because generally speaking it's the players who aren't the best that pay their fees and train every night and commit fully, which obviously means that they give themselves 1st opportunity to get selected.

I would've thought you'd still have to go back through the B grade even though you missed a week?? :?

I'm happy to see that the draw is tweaked a little so our MP and CLG fixture is swapped ;)

Don't ask me, I just play where I am told. It was my understanding that you couldn't go from A's to C's in successive weeks, but if you missed a game you could.

Too many rules man!

Oh really? Hmph! On the SAAFL website it still has our C's playing Ingle Farm on the 22nd of June at 2:15 - at which time neither our A's or B's are playing...?

talk about some bad luck..Ingle Farm will probably be playing Mitchell Park and Colonel Light Gardens stacked up C grade sides back to back  interesting to see how the ladder will look after those games..providing they lose the 2 games of course ;)

FFS you're right! This is Bullshit, what have we done to cop this? That makes 5 games this year where we play when the opposition A & B grade have byes! :( don't think anyone else has as tough a draw :(

6 of 9 away to start the year
Followed by
3 games against sides with byes in A & B grade + top 2 sides PNU & TOS + lovely 10:15 game at Flinders Uni LOL.

At least if we make finals we know we wouldve earnt it haha
