thanks for reminding me old farmer
Pooraka have never got close to beating CBCOC by 20 goals at CBC so I am not certain what you are talking about Weasel. By the way if you don't like the banter from the scoreboard bad luck - perhaps you and the other 3 Pooraka supporters who come to our ground and fill our till with your riches could pop over to the scoreboard and voice your concerns (p.s. I am one of those "assholes" you referred to)

1. Plympton (never played on the oval or know where it is)
2. Hectorville (never played against probably get lost looking for this ground)
3. Hope Valley
4. Brahma Lodge
Plympton runs east weast so good luck with that, but you want to hope you get them on their ladies day as it makes travelling there all worth while![]()
Hectorville is a bigger than average ground so someone like you GW who likes the easy ball will love it, you will enjoy the banter from the two old blokes sitting on the balcony
Hope Valley is a small ground and can get very muddy but held together very well last year - change rooms are great and if you get on the right side of FC, she will even strap you - also stay away from Magoos corner
Brahma Lodge is slightly bigger than Hope Valley and generally holds together ok except down the clubroom end where the soccer club trains, gets chewed up pretty bad - dont make a mistake in the backline at the club room end as you will be biatch for the rest of the day

He didn't apply for the job. I don't know whether he's looking at trying his hand coaching another club or anything, but at least to my understanding there was no ill will.

I would disagree with you here GW (on the friendly part that is). I played there a few years back the year when they played PAC in the GF. When we played them there (and lost) and the supporters there on the upper level near the stairs were very vocal all day, mostly very abusive. Now normally I would say all is fair during the game, however the supporters continued to sledge as we were walking past them off the ground. Very nearly created a scuffle between players and spectators. No I would consider CBC to be quite unfriendly, and I know a few of the lads that play there.

Thought I read elsewhere he applied for the Smithfield job.

That's bullshit, it is constitutional for one reason, to elect the best possible coach available at the current time. Andy was no walk up start for the job, he would've got it because he must've given the best presentation and had players staying or coming back.
Whether you like his style or you don't, Andy has always been good at gaining respect from his player's and they always seem to stick by him.
I personally don't know who I would've chosen, it would've come down to what they could bring to the Smithfield Football Club, I wasn't in the meeting's so I have no opinion. All 3 applicant's had merit on paper, even you dee man, they asked my opinion and they were holding off for as long as possible for you to get back to them after you showed initial interest.
The last coaches they have had.
Andy Stewart: Units for a year or two, Smithfield juniors for a long time prior.
Joss denengelse: Former Salisbury North player.
Paul Oldacre: Burnside/Kensington amongst other clubs.
Bill Schutt: Woody South.
No rules stating a coach comes from inhouse mate.

have no problems with Andy getting the job,i think he did a wonderful job last season and was a shoe in for the position
players from smithfield had already told me that he was coaching their again next season whether anyone wants to admit it or not
i never went for the job or considered it but initially made enquireies on behalf of someone who wanted to go for the position
he did get an interview but my name was not mentioned due to the fact that he wanted to interview on behalf of himself and show his talents and what he could bring to the club
in the end smithfield have selected a coach and a good coach at that ,and i do believe he deserved a second go to finish what he had started
